75 Days To Go 🎉

E hika mā, only 75 days to go until we come together in Tāmaki Makaurau for our annual conference - and what a year to celebrate! This year marks our 75th anniversary - he tiketikenga!

Ka titiro ake ki a Dame Mira Szászy, he mema i Tāmaki Makaurau when she took on the role of National President of the Māori Women’s Welfare League.

Dame Mira dedicated her life to wāhine Māori. She didn’t believe in telling our wahine what was needed - she believed in creating space for us to name it for ourselves. Her words still echo in everything we do:

“It is their needs and the needs of their children as seen by them.”

That’s empowerment right there, and is the heart of our kaupapa - listening to our whānau, trusting our wāhine, and walking together into the future.

Nau mai e hika mā, nau mai te 7 o Oketopa 2026.
