Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of those who served — and those who continue to serve.

Across Aotearoa, New Zealand, communities gather at dawn and throughout the day to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

As Lions, service is at the heart of what we do — and today, we stand alongside our communities in remembrance and respect.

We will remember them.

We are lucky to be running the Community Op Shop for the week starting Saturday 28 March. If you need us collect larger items from you please dont hesitate to ring David as per below. We all look forward to seeing you and your items to help raise funds for the may projects and people we support during the year

This spectacular view from the Kaimai Lookout over our district is familiar to many of us!

The stone wall was built by the Matamata Lions as a community project in the early 2000s. An incredible 1,050 volunteer hours went into sourcing stone from Swap's Welcome Bay Quarry and constructing the wall.

Yet another outstanding contribution to our community. Huge thanks and appreciation to the Matamata Lions - a legacy set in stone!
