Matamata Sculpture Symposium Incorporated is a group of volunteer artists, art enthusiasts and supporters of sculpture coming together to carve Hinuera and Oamaru stone, in Matamata, New Zealand.

Well, another Symposium is over. The aching muscles and dusty clothes were well worth it, with a result of some excellent sculptures being created this year. Thank you to the very small team of committee members for all the effort and time you put in to this event. Happy chipping everyone!

It's all action stations here at the Railside Green in Matamata! Some really beautiful work has emerged in the past week, with more to come. Come on over and meet the artist's and see their creations. Many of the completed works are for sale. There are some great cafes, and picnic spots. The weather is glorious!
