JUST 6 WEEKS TO GO!

We’re getting closer and closer to Rugged Raukawa 2026, and today we want to give a big shout-out to the people who make the event possible.

A huge thank you to the Macphee Family, John, Sue, James & Charlotte for opening up their fabulous farm, MASON RIDGE on Whakapirau Road, for Rugged Raukawa this year.

It’s a real privilege to be able to run, walk and ride across this beautiful piece of Raukawa countryside.

And while it might look simple from the outside, hosting an event like this on a working farm takes a lot of planning and logistics behind the scenes - including moving stock and making sure the farm is ready for hundreds of participants on the big day.

We really appreciate James & Charlotte getting behind our little community event and allowing us to share their spectacular property with you all.

So when you’re tackling those hills on Saturday 31 October, remember to look around and enjoy the views - you’re getting a pretty special glimpse of MASON RIDGE!

🎟️ 6 weeks to go - have you got your ticket yet?

THIS WHAT IT’S ALL FOR!

Rugged Raukawa isn’t just about running, walking, riding and tackling a few hills… it’s about giving back to the place at the heart of our community. 🌿

Raukawa Hall has been part of our rural community since 1951, bringing local families together for dances, celebrations, meetings, milestones and plenty of good times over the years.

It’s more than just a building. It’s a place where our community comes together.

And like any much-loved old building, it needs a bit of love to keep it going. ❤️

Money raised through Rugged Raukawa helps us maintain and improve the hall, including things like:

🎨 Keeping the building painted and looking its best
🔨 Ongoing maintenance and repairs
♿ Improving accessibility and facilities
🌿 Creating welcoming outdoor spaces
🤝 Keeping the hall available for our community for years to come

So when you pull on your shoes, jump on your bike and tackle Rugged Raukawa, you’re helping keep this little piece of Raukawa history alive.

Every entry helps. Every sponsor helps. Every person who gets involved helps.

And that’s what makes this event pretty special. ❤️

Come for the challenge. Stay for the community. Help us keep Raukawa Hall humming!
