We're kicking off at 4pm because good music and good people don't need to wait until midnight to gather on the dancefloor. If you love to dance but appreciate being home before the city goes to sleep, this one was made for you.

Get ready for some serious vibes as this artist brings their unique energy and sound to the stage at Arkrasier. We can’t wait to see you there!

Originally from Tāmaki Makaurau, Sneeky now calls the Bay home.

Over the years, she’s built a reputation for curating a musical journey that transcends genres and eras, always keeping the crowd moving with something fresh, funky, and familiar.

Sneeky has performed a variety of Aotearoa's favourite festivals (NestFest, AUM, Club Festivus, Outfield, Taniwha’s Den, Abracadabra) and played support for some of NZ’s best electronic musicians (Pitch Black, Sweet Mix Kids, Dick Johnson, Flamingo Pier, P.Digsss, SolarRosa, and Salmonella Dub).

With a solid foundation in old-school house, disco and funk, she seamlessly blends elements of tech, indie, melodic and a touch of ghetto. Her eclectic style blends all the genres sneeking in samples and tracks you forgot you knew and loved.

Joining Sophie as she plays will be Matt Mear - an Ahuriri-based horn player with two decades on stage, blending trumpet and flugelhorn into reggae, funk, soul, and electronica. He is a founding member of the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra, bringing melody, mood, and movement to every set.

Kia ora Arkadien whānau,

I want to acknowledge the love for our brother Simon, and all his whānau and friends. We bonded over our deep love of cheesy dance music and disco balls, as well as countless hours around the fire pit sorting out all the worlds problems. Arohanui Simon ❤️

Big thank you Arkadien for having me on board for this Arkraiser. I've been working away, digging up some sexy new grooves and some dirty new basslines, I'm really pumped to share these tracks with our dancefloor.

At Arkraiser, happening in a couple of weeks, Lowlee is set to warm up the dance floor with fresh offerings. Come along early to enjoy an uplifting and fun afternoon. Blending house and its affiliated subgenres, she is a fan of pensive, open-ended sounds with a subtle, understated flair.

She’ll be throwing in some nostalgic disco funk flavours, choppy vocal stutters and deep/ melodic grooves with the intention of invoking both celebration and reflection. She is deeply grateful for Arkadien’s influences over the last couple of years and excited to be at the new Paisley stage venue.

Unexpectedly on the 20th of January, we lost an Arkadien soul way too soon, leaving us with an ache in our chests and a hole within our crew.

Simon aka SLY, was an integral part of our lives and operations, and if you ever met him at Arkadien - you knew instantaneously that he was passionate about being there and making it tick…

For this Arkraiser we had in mind to ask Simon to procure a set away from his norm and play ‘Housier’ for us - but we never got the chance…

But as often happened with Simon, another idea made itself apparent fast, and for this Arkraiser we are blessed to have two of his closest mates (Yuna-Fi & Shon T) step up to honour him with a b2b set honed from some select cuts of Sly’s vast music collection, as both a dedication to him, and a celebration for us.

See you front and centre for this one, and appreciate below the words written about the great man himself from Gabe aka Yuna-Fi…

‘Simon was a man of integrity, unwavering in his standards, fearless in his imagination.

He carried a rebellious edge, but behind it was a deeply innovative mind that constantly pushed the boundaries of what a set could be.

He was meticulous with his curation.
Every transition intentional.
Every bass line chosen for impact.
He gravitated toward punchy, rhythmic grooves that commanded the body to move. Simon didn’t just play music; he engineered an experience built on precision, pressure, and pulse.

His passing leaves a profound gap in our local scene. Not just in sound, but in spirit. He gave his time, his generosity, and his technical brilliance to Arkadien, Darxyde, and to anyone who shared his passion for dance floor culture and the physics of sound.

He was deeply embedded in this community.

At Arkraiser, we carry him forward the only way we know how, through rhythm, through bass, through collective movement. We honour him in the frequencies he loved, and we gather one more time to dance to his beat.'
