We’re ready for an amazing Term 2 starting Monday 20th April! 🎉 While our riders were recharging, our incredible volunteers have been hard at work, transforming our grounds, grooming our horses, and upskilling with autism training. Red shone bright with a sparkling dental check and WOF, a new pony Rory arrived and will undergo a program with Sarah to see if he's the perfect match for our RDA riders, and Tonto indulged in a rejuvenating massage. 💆‍♀️ We're looking forward to seeing you next week 🌟

Hastings RDA is Hiring: Office Administrator (Part-Time)

Hastings Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is looking for a warm, organised, and proactive Office Administrator to support our special needs riders, volunteers, and community.

15 hours per week - mornings (some negotiation on the days)
Purpose-driven, community role

Hastings Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting children and adults with disabilities through therapeutic horse riding. We are powered by an incredible group of volunteers and a small professional team, all working together to improve wellbeing, confidence, and inclusion in our community.

About the role:
You’ll be the welcoming face of Hastings RDA, keeping the office running smoothly and supporting volunteers, families, and our Committee. Tasks include general admin, communications, rider paperwork, volunteer coordination, funding applications, basic financial admin, and helping us stay connected with our wider community.
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Organised, reliable, and approachable
• Confident with admin, email, Windows suite and social media
• Great with people and able to handle confidential information
• Passionate about inclusion and community wellbeing
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Must be eligible to work in NZ and willing to complete Police Vetting.

Kraker is looking for some lovely volunteers to come work with him and all his friends (children and ponies) can you help?

With things about to start back up here at Hastings RDA we are looking for some more awesome volunteers who can help out one day a week or more from 8.30am-12.30pm

We need people who are physically fit and confident around horses and children

All training is provided and you must be able to pass a police check
