My Mid year health WOF: that’s how one of our happy ladies described last night. What’s a DIY Pap smear test? Have you ever considered a Hepatitis C test? Do you know what asymptomatic to cancer means? Last night we learnt alot, did alot and ate alot lol
A few pictures of last night Pacific women’s health event held at Flaxmere College. We were able to witness the ladies take tests that they may have never found the time to do and feel in control through understanding, feeling safe to ask questions and being educated. It was time well spent with you all and grateful for the opportunity to serve you all.
Thank you to Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora for the support and not forgetting about us in the regions, hearing the voice of the community and allowing these more personalised and culturally safe spaces.
Thank you to all the providers for coming through grateful to see the connections and intimate discussions made. A massive thank you to Rush Munro's Ice Cream we had all the flavours but the special protein one was my fav lol
A special thank you to Flaxmere College for seeing the vision and allowing us to utilise their amazing facilities. Faafetai lava 🙏🏽
LASTLY - to our volunteers and staff could not have done this without the support and tireless work BTS 🥺❤️❤️
I will be putting on another PFW event in the near future and maybe taking it out to Napier for our aiga out there!! I will keep you posted 😉
But most importantly, if you have not had the chance to attend the night, please find the time to get checked ✅ Get checked, save a life 🌺🌺
