SPCA Hastings Centre SPCA's Hastings Centre sits on a greenbelt just south of Hastings Central.

An extensive building, the Hastings Centre has a reasonably large capacity compared to other regional centres with approx. 1,200 animals coming into our care each year.

💕 Meet Ezme! 💕

Beautiful Ezme came into our care after being found just outside sunny Hastings. Since arriving, she has been stealing hearts and showing us what a smart, loving girl she is.

She’s already learning her basics and has quickly figured out that “sit” means a tasty treat is coming!

But what Ezme really wants is a family of her own. She is a BIG snuggler who loves cuddles and sometimes thinks she’s a cat! 🐱😂

Now she’s ready for her next chapter with a family who will continue helping her learn, grow and enjoy life.

The Hastings SPCA Free Vaccination Drive is just around the corner! Please remember to pre-register to reserve your free vaccinations.

We’ve had an amazing response so far—thank you! We look forward to seeing you there.

Free Vaccination and pet care drive coming up in Hastings to support families that are experiencing financial hardship who may not otherwise be able to afford vet care for their dog.
Bring your pup (over 6 weeks old) or dog for a vaccination , microchipping, desexing vouchers and more .

Please don’t be sad… 🥹💙

Our first 3 kittens went up for adoption today, and all three brothers found their forever homes within just a couple of hours!

A huge thank you to the families who opened their hearts and homes to our very first little kittens this season .We couldn’t be happier for them!

But don’t worry… there are more little kittens coming! Over the next few weeks, more of our babies will be ready for adoption. Right now, they’re getting all the love, care and attention they need from our amazing foster families.

So keep an eye on our page and website for more little faces looking for their forever homes. 💙🐾

Some families in our community are doing it tough, and we want to help make sure their puppies don’t go without.

If you’re able to donate unopened puppy dry food, you can drop it off at NAPIER OR HASTINGS SPCA Centres.
Your donation will help support families who are struggling to provide the basics for their pets. 🐾💙

A little extra from your trolley can help fill a puppy’s tummy. 🐶💙

Can you give 2 hours of your time for the animals? 🐶🐱

We need volunteer street collectors for our Fill the Bucket street appeal, which is taking place on 30 and 31 October in Hastings and all around the country!

What's involved:
👉 Just 2 hours of your time (or more if you like) on either Friday 30 or Saturday 31 October
👉 Working in pairs at a collection site in your area, collecting donations from the public
👉 You'll be provided with the collection bucket, bibs, and stickers.
👉 You're welcome to bring your dog with you! Just remember to bring their water bowl and bags.

Every cent donated from our Fill the Bucket street appeal goes back to the thousands of animals that we help each year. This is a critical fundraiser, and we couldn't do it without our collection volunteers!

❤️‍🩹 Open your heart to a rescue pup, because sometimes the one you rescue ends up rescuing you.

Six little T’s started this journey together… and now there’s just ONE still waiting.

Tater is the last of his litter still in our care.
While his brothers have headed off to begin their new adventures, Tater is still waiting patiently for his turn — waiting for someone to see him, choose him, and give him the chance to know what having a home of his own feels like.

Tater is a lovely young boy who is ready to explore, learn and become part of a family. He enjoys being around other animals and would love nothing more than to be your companion, whether you’re out in the garden, relaxing at home or simply getting on with your day.

He could be a wonderful match for a first-time dog owner who is ready to learn and grow with him, or for a family who already has furry friends.

The love of a dog doesn’t cost a thing — but to them, you are their whole world. 🐾

I’m Daphne. 🥺

Maybe you haven’t met me yet, but I’m still here, waiting patiently in my adoption room, hoping that you might walk through the door.

I was adopted from the SPCA back in 2021, and through absolutely no fault of my own, I have found myself back here again.

I’m a sweet, loving and loyal girl. I love a good pat, a little chat and simply being close to my people. I have so much love to give, and all I really want is to feel safe, loved and part of a family again. ❤️

Right now, I’m the last one waiting in our adoption room.

I watch people come and go, and I wonder…

“Will today be the day someone chooses me?”

I don’t need to be the first one you notice.
I just need someone to stop, look into my eyes and see the beautiful girl I am.

I’m ready to love you.
I’m ready to be your loyal girl.
I’m ready to go home.

Unfortunately, our admin system is currently down, which means we are limited in what we can do at the moment. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are still here and doing our best to help where we can.

🐾 Adoptions:
We can still approve adoption applications and accept adoption payments online.

Our emails are working as normal, so please continue to contact us via email if needed.

Our phones are also working as normal, so please give us a call if you need to get in touch.

🛍️ Need to purchase something?
Our Napier Centre is happy to help if you need to purchase anything while our Hastings admin system is down.
