We are a non-profit FOOD RESCUE with 4 locations located in the sunny Hawke's Bay, where we collect and redistribute surplus, excess, short dated, food and redistribute it to the good people of our community. Our team is comprised of committed volunteers whose shared passion is reducing waste and seeing that it nourishes our community. Nourished for Nil does not discriminate, or judge and welcomes anyone to frequent our service. MISSION STATEMENT

Our local Supermarkets are truly essential partners in helping us serve the people of Hawke's Bay, every day. The donated food to our organisation helps us to ease financial pressures and boosts the well-being of thousands of HB families. ​"Food is not just fuel, it’s life, culture, and community. Access to it is the foundation of well-being."

Thanks also to our local stores financial support through the 'Here for NZ' fund, we’re able to power our Foodbanks banks and Social Supermarkets to continue operating successfully. ❤️

Our VOLUNTEER of the MONTH is Jenny Collins! 💯💥
Originally from Wanganui, Jenny has been living in Hawkes Bay for the last 40 years. With a farming background, Jenny has always worked hard, both on and off the farm. In her earlier days her adventurous side took her overseas, where she spent time sheep shearing in the United States and working on a horse ranch in Colorado. She is also a proud mum and grandmother!
Jenny joined the Nourished for Nil team as one of the original volunteers at our Camberley site in 2021 (where she still helps today). She also regularly helps as a part of our wider Hastings team at our pop-up events, is hands on for the Thursday mornings seniors’ service, and every week stocking shelves at the Hastings Social supermarket. Thank you Jenny for your great smile and for being one of our superstar volunteers! 🙌
