For 20 years, Volunteering Hawke’s Bay has brought people together with a shared spirit of generosity, helping to build the caring, connected community we’re so proud of today.

In this message, Napier Mayor Richard McGrath reflects on the incredible difference made by volunteers, organisations, and supporters who give their time and compassion to uplift others across our region.

From quiet acts of kindness to inspiring community efforts, every contribution has played a part in shaping the Hawke’s Bay we know and love.

To everyone who has given their time, energy, and heart—thank you. Your impact truly matters. Here’s to continuing this journey together for many years to come.
