🧸 WE’RE NOW COLLECTING FOR OUR ANNUAL GARAGE SALE! 🧸

It’s that time of year again! The Gisborne Toy Library Annual Garage Sale is coming up on Saturday 7th November, and we’d love your help to make it a great one! 💛

We’re currently collecting good-quality, clean and saleable donations, including children’s & baby clothing, toys & accessories, adult clothing, books, kitchenware, sports gear, bric-a-brac and more.

📦 Have a declutter and donate it to a great local cause! Every item donated helps us raise funds to support the Gisborne Toy Library and continue providing a fantastic range of toys for our local tamariki and whānau.

Donations can be dropped off at the Toy Library during our opening hours – Thursdays & Saturdays, 10am–1pm.

🚗 Can’t make it in? Send us a PM and we can arrange collection!

We’d be so grateful for your support. Thank you, Gisborne! ❤️💛💚💙

Mōrena whānau,

Unfortunately, our wonderful volunteer librarians have some unwell tamariki at home who are in need of a little extra TLC. 🤒❤️

For this reason, the Gisborne Toy Library will be CLOSED today.

If you have toys due back today, don’t worry — they have automatically been extended for another week at no extra charge. 🧸🚂

We hope you and your whānau manage to dodge all the winter bugs doing the rounds at the moment! Stay warm and well. 🌿

Ngā mihi,
The Gisborne Toy Library Team ❤️

👋 New here? Welcome to the Gisborne Toy Library!

If you’ve heard us mentioned on the radio for World Play Day and are wondering what exactly a Toy Library is — here’s a little about us 😊

We’re a local not-for-profit organisation that works a lot like a book library… but instead of borrowing books, families borrow toys!

Rather than spending hundreds of dollars on toys children quickly outgrow, our members can hire from a huge range of fun, engaging, and educational toys for a very small fee. We have toys for babies right through to older children — from puzzles and pretend play to ride-ons, games, outdoor toys and more.

✨ More variety for your children
✨ Less clutter at home
✨ Affordable family fun
✨ Better for the environment too

📍 Find us at:
91 Innes Street, Awapuni, Gisborne

🕙 Open: Thursdays & Saturdays 10am – 1pm

💰 Memberships:
• 12 months — $65
• 6 months — $35

Once you’re a member, toys can be hired for two weeks, with toy hire fees ranging from just 50c to $5 depending on the toy.

As a community-run organisation, every membership and toy hire helps keep this wonderful resource running for local families across Tairāwhiti ❤️

If you’ve never visited before, feel free to pop in and have a browse — we’d love to show you around and help you discover what we’re all about 😊
