As we approach the end of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate Māori Language Week. Kia kaha te reo Māori 🖤🤍❤️
Mehemea ka moemoeā ahau, ko ahau anake.
Mehemea ka moemoeā tātou, ka taea e tātou.
“If I dream, I dream alone. If we dream together, we can achieve it.”
We are humbled by the wisdom and power held within this beautiful whakataukī. As we recite it together in our team hui, we are reminded that a dream becomes much more powerful when it is shared.
For us at Harmony Pasifika, it speaks to the strength of whānau, community and collective kaupapa. We may each carry our own dreams, hopes and aspirations, but when we come together, support one another and walk alongside each other, we can create change that reaches far beyond ourselves.
Language is more than words. It carries our identity, our stories, our whakapapa, our values and our connection to one another. When we honour te Reo Māori, we honour the people, the culture and the whenua of Aotearoa.
Ka ora te reo Maori.
Ka ora te whanau.
Ka ora te hapori.
Ka ora Aotearoa.
