Bellyful East Auckland

Bellyful East Auckland Bellyful nourishes and connects communities by cooking and delivering free meals to whānau, with babies or young children, who need support.

Refer a whānau or yourself here: bellyful.org.nz/bellyful-branches/east-auckland/ Our aim is to encourage whānau to accept help and support from their local community - just like our grandparents did! Parenting is hard work, so why not take all the help that’s offered? Let’s all help each other out and build a stronger community in the process. You can help us fill bellies by making a donation: https://bellyful.org.nz/donate-now/

From a Vision to Something Truly Special ❤️ Youth Project NZ

Words from our Branch Leader Andrea Martin 🩷

“It was an absolute pleasure to help judge these amazing awards. The entries I saw were truly incredible and a wonderful reminder of the incredible young people we have in our community.

Around four years ago, Claire and Ann sat down with me and shared their vision for something they wanted to create for local young people. I remember them showing me their logo and talking about what they hoped Youth Project NZ could become.

Well… look at it now. ❤️

What these two incredible women have created from that vision is nothing short of amazing.

Youth Project NZ is so much more than an organisation that ‘does things for youth’. It connects young people with their community, gives them a voice, builds confidence and shows them that they really can make a difference.

From Kindness in the Community programmes in local primary schools, to volunteering opportunities, environmental initiatives, family events and their Youth Board — young people are being given real opportunities to contribute, lead and connect.

And the numbers are incredible. In 2025 alone, they worked with nearly 4,000 primary school students across nine schools, while their Youth Board now brings together 35 young people from six schools and colleges.

But behind every number is a young person whose life has been touched by what Claire and Ann have created.

I feel incredibly proud to have witnessed this journey from the very beginning.

I remember the vision.
I remember the logo.
And now I see an organisation making a genuine difference in the lives of our young people and our wider community.

Claire and Ann, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. ❤️

You took an idea, believed in it, worked incredibly hard and turned it into something very, very special.

Four years on, Youth Project NZ is creating connections, providing opportunities and reminding our community just how incredible our young people really are.

What started as a vision has become a movement of kindness, connection, volunteering and community.

Well done Claire and Ann. You are both truly amazing! 👏❤️”
