🇼🇸 Tālofa lava! Celebrating Samoan Language Week at Flat Bush Library 🇼🇸💙

Our PEA team has been working hard to create a beautiful display alongside the staff at the Flatbush library to help preserve and share the language and culture of Samoa. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn more, connect with one another, and celebrate the importance of keeping our languages strong for future generations.

If you’re visiting the library this week, we warmly invite you to drop by, take a moment to look through the display, and say hello to the team. We’d love for you to enjoy the experience with us and celebrate this special week together!

We had the opportunity to partner with Mark and Charlene Anderson for their Su***de Awareness Event, “Picnic in the Park.” 🌿💛
What a beautiful way to come together as one community—sharing resources and support for mental health and wellbeing.

Our team absolutely loved being part of it! 🎨✨ From face painting, to stress-ball making with the children, to one-on-one engagement about the services we offer—every moment mattered.

A huge thank you to Matua Mihaere for opening the event with a karakia, and to Miss Niue Aotearoa 2026 for a stunning performance. 🙌🏽🌺

And to everyone who came through and supported the event—thank you so much! Your presence and support helped make the day truly special. 🤍

Whānau, you matter. You’re not alone—reach out. ***deawareness

Our end of year Christmas Dinner, huge thank you to members of the Auckland Council who was present. Watch this space as we grow into existence here in East Auckland. We started this group end of 2024, here we are being involved with the Pacific Language Weeks in the East Auckland Libraries ( Howick, Pakuranga, Botany and Highland Park) . We are now involved with Howick Village Association in supporting and showcasing our Pasifika culture with events in Howick Village.
