As usual in New Zealand, we hadn’t seen the sun for the past two weeks! ☁️

Alhamdulillah, yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, so our lovely children were excited to record their videos outside and enjoy the sunshine.

A big well done to Mia and Nada! You both did a fantastic and very smart job.

This term, our Junior students learned Surat Az-Zalzalah, while our Marhaba Plus students focused on Surat Al-Balad.

Alhamdulillah, all of the students gained a great deal of knowledge about their surahs and memorized them with proper Tajweed. We are very proud of their dedication and progress throughout the term.

Most importantly, they completed all of their learning activities with great enthusiasm and enjoyment. Alhamdulillah, it has been a wonderful learning journey for everyone.

We are now in the final week of Term 2, and it has certainly flown by!

Yesterday, your child brought home their lap book. A lap book is a wonderful learning resource that your child has created with great pride. It serves as a handy reference, with all the information they have learned presented in an engaging and creative way.

Creating these lap books takes a lot of time and effort from both the children and teachers, but they are a fun and effective way to reinforce learning. We kindly ask that you keep your child’s lap book in a safe place and take some time to read through it together from time to time. This will help your child revisit and strengthen their learning.

We are blessed to be living through some of the most beautiful and virtuous days of the year as we eagerly await the arrival of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, a special occasion that fills hearts with joy and happiness. On this occasion, it was important for us to talk with the children of Marhaba about how to make the most of these blessed days, prepare for Eid, and learn about its beautiful values and etiquette, as well as the manners of entering and respecting the mosque.

Our children then expressed their creativity by coloring special Eid greeting cards to share with their families as a gesture of love and celebration. We also prepared sheep-shaped crackers for Eid, and before giving them to the children, we arranged a flock of sheep to spell out the words “Happy Eid” in a fun and festive way.

Marhaba is delighted to take this opportunity to extend its warmest Eid wishes to you and your families, praying that Allah blesses you with the best of goodness, abundant sustenance, and complete happiness.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Eid. Eid Mubarak, and may you be well every year.
