WORLD WUSHU-KUNGFU DAY: JOIN US FOR WUSHU HEROES NEW ZEALAND 2026!

Today, 8 August, marks the ninth World Wushu-Kungfu Day.
As the global wushu community celebrates under this year’s theme, “Wushu for the Youth Olympics—Move, Inspire, Shine,” we are proud to release Wushu Without Boundaries—the official promotional video for the 2026 “Wushu Heroes” New Zealand Wushu Open Tournament! 🎬

Featuring Dragon and Lion Dance, Wushu Taolu and Sanda, the tournament provides martial artists of all ages with a stage to showcase their skills, learn from one another and challenge themselves.

Every appearance takes courage.�Everyone who embraces the challenge is a Wushu Hero!

2026 “Wushu Heroes” New Zealand Wushu Ranking Open Tournament is coming to Auckland!

Join us on 22–23 August 2026 at Barfoot & Thompson Stadium, Auckland for one of New Zealand’s major wushu events of the year.

The tournament will include:

Wushu · Sanda · Tai Chi · Dragon & Lion Dance Performance

Athletes of all ages and levels are welcome to take part, compete, perform, and celebrate the spirit of Chinese martial arts.

Final Registration Deadline:
23 July 2026

Dragon & Lion Dance Performance Registration Deadline:
10 August 2026
