We provide an affordable toy lending service for families with children aged 4 months - 7 years.

Come visit us on Wed/Sat mornings to explore our toys and become a member. We are a volunteer-run non-profit, proudly supporting our community for 30 years! Our aim is to provide an accessible, high-quality toy library with a wide range of educational toys for children from 4 months - 8 years for families living in Grey Lynn, Westmere, Kingsland, and Point Chevalier. Our objectives are to:
- provi

de the best play and learning opportunities for our children
- enable families and children to enjoy a wide range of toys at minimal financial cost
- promote sustainable and full utilization of toys
- provide a social connection with other families living in the local community

🎉 WOW! What a turnout for our birthday party last Saturday! 🎂

A massive thank you to the incredible volunteers who helped out on the day - we couldn't have done it without you. 🙌❤️

We also want to give a huge shout-out to our regular Wednesday and Saturday volunteers, duty members, as well as our amazing behind-the-scenes committee who keep the toy library running for the community! ✨

Today is International Toy Library Association (ITLA) World Play Day 2026 🌏🎈

This year’s theme - Freedom, Inclusion and Peace, reminds us of the important role play has in building joyful, connected and compassionate communities around the world.

🤸‍♀️ FREEDOM in play is about children having the right and opportunity to play freely, without unnecessary restrictions of time, space, gender roles, ability, or resources.

👩🏿‍🤝‍👨🏼 INCLUSION ensures every child can participate in play, regardless of ability, gender, culture, language, or socioeconomic background.

Just a friendly reminder that we'll be closed this Saturday for the annual Church Potters' Market.

If you're around, it's a lovely local event showcasing beautiful pottery from emerging and well-known NZ Potter's from Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond. Ideal timing to find a unique gift for Mother's Day too!

We'll also be closed on Saturday 30th May for King's Birthday weekend.

👩‍🚒👨🏽‍🚒 Today is International Firefighters' Day, and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to both paid and volunteer firefighters who risk their lives to protect communities.

Firefighters do so much more than fight fires. We know firsthand how they show up in moments of desperation - providing lifesaving CPR during family emergencies ❤️

Play is such a vital way for kids to process the world and learn about these incredible community helpers. Thank you to the real life heroes who inspire our kids everyday 🚒

To firefighters everywhere: thank you for your courage, your skills, and for always answering the call when it matters most.
