Pick up will now be from 📍Te Hira Way (Marae) where it is more accessible for our whānau and community to collect fresh kai.

Poumatua Festival! 🙌🏾 Coming to you next month!

The inaugural three-day cultural festival will be held from Thurs 17 Sep to Sat 19 Sep 2026. Poumatua Festival will bring kapa haka, kōrero, markets and Māori culture into the heart of the city, with events across Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Square and Q Theatre. There is something for everyone! 👣💫

Apply for the 2026 Tūpuna Maunga Research Scholarship ⛰️

Tūpuna Maunga Authority is encouraging researchers to apply for its 2026/2027 Research Scholarship, supporting new research that deepens understanding of the ancestral mountains of Tāmaki Makaurau and contributes to their ongoing protection and care.

Offering up to $20,000, the scholarship is open to researchers across all disciplines whose work aligns with the values and aspirations of the Tūpuna Maunga (ancestral mountains).

Applications close at 11.59 pm on Sunday 30 August 2026.

Are you sick of not knowing the waiata at kaupapa? 👀

Waiata Wenerei is a weekly waiata session that provides a space for whānau to come together to learn, strengthen and practise waiata in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Sessions are often delivered in focused blocks, with each block aligned to upcoming iwi kaupapa and events. This ensures whānau are confident and prepared to collectively uphold our waiata traditions when representing Ngāi Tuperiri. 🙌🏾

This current block is focused on Te Ahurei o Ngāti Whātua, with waiata selected to support whānau participation throughout the festival and strengthen a unified iwi presence.
