Miss & Mr Africa New Zealand (MANZ) is an organisation that prepares young African women and men for a better future by inspiring in them a pride for their heritage and culture. The pageant steer's away from the norms that are present in society by highlighting the intelligence, capability and determination of these women and men. It will be a showcase of African talent, culture, heritage, fashion, music, art and beauty.

Kanana joins Miss Africa New Zealand with a powerful purpose to celebrate a fuller, more authentic representation of Black beauty and Black womanhood. Her journey is one of courage, resilience, self-discovery, and embracing every feature, every story, and every part of what makes us unique.

Having moved to New Zealand less than a year ago, she is stepping outside her comfort zone, learning self-reliance, and proving that growth begins when we dare to believe in ourselves. Through her voice, she hopes to inspire young women to embrace who they are, challenge stereotypes, and walk confidently in their purpose.
