Catholic Caring Foundation

Catholic Caring Foundation The official page for The Catholic Caring Foundation. Since then, we have distributed in excess of $10 million in grants.

The Charitable Foundation of the Catholic Bishop of Auckland (the Catholic Caring Foundation’s full name) is a registered charity CC25268. The Catholic Caring Foundation is based on the Gospel message of Love of God and neighbour, to serve those at the margins of our society. We walk alongside organisations, providing not only financial assistance but mentoring and moral support as they develop pr

ograms that care for families and for communities. The Catholic Caring Foundation was established in 1988 by Bishop Denis Browne to enable the Auckland Diocese to assist those in need. Funds raised are distributed to local organisations that are at the coal face of providing help and assistance to those in the community who need it. Today, Bishop Pat Dunn is the patron of the Foundation, and oversees our work from the North Cape to the Coromandel, raising funds and then distributing to agencies who work directly to strengthen families and create vibrant communities. In 2011, we distributed $628,724 to not-for-profit agencies. We are more committed than ever to assist agencies to care for New Zealanders who are marginalised and seek assistance.

Our Caring Mass 2025 was held at Christ the King Church on Thursday. A wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the agencies who received a grant from the Foundation this year - the bring our grants to life! Our thanks to all the students from Catholic schools throughout the diocese for the care in action. Congratulations to everyone who received a caring award. We truly value your mahi.

It was fantastic seeing our Jessica Rule and Tine Ngan Woo (pictured next to the Catholic Caring Foundation's Ann-Marie Parker Manager) recognised at this year's Catholic Caring Mass for their contribution to families living in Monte Cecilia housing.
