Kia ora e hoa mā,

The RainbowYOUTH Board wishes to provide notice of our 2026 Annual General Meeting, taking place online on Thursday 23 April 2026 at 6pm.

We'll be discussing Annual, Financial, and Board Reports, as well as electing new members to our Board. This is an exciting time where your vote can shape how our organisation flourishes and grows!

In order to vote at the AGM, you must be a member. In alignment with our RainbowYOUTH Constitution, all previous membership has lapsed as of the 31st of March 2026. This means everyone who wishes to vote at the AGM must register as a member, regardless of previous membership.

You can register as a member online, or apply to be on our board by visiting our website: https://ry.org.nz/2026-agm.

Our constitution states that applications to become a member temporarily close 7 days before an AGM, and open at the conclusion of the AGM. This means, if you’d like to have voting privileges at our AGM, you must register before Wednesday 16th of April 2026.

We're excited to share what we've been working on, and what's ahead of us.

If you have any questions, reach out to Kieran at [email protected]

Happy Trans Day of Visibility 🩵🤍🩷

Last year we launched an open letter calling for the reinstatement of the Guiding Principles for the Inclusion of Transgender People in Community Sport. Our community came out in droves to co-sign the letter, and here are just a few of the kind messages that they left our gender-diverse rangatahi ⭐💜

We hope all of our trans and gender-diverse community feel seen and heard today. You deserve nothing less!
