✨It’s Adventure Week! This Term’s theme is - ELEVATE. ✨ From what we’ve already seen this might be the theme with the biggest variety of interpretations so far!
We've seen rangatahi elevate themselves and their confidence through talent shows, evening night treks up local tracks under the stars, balloon activities, tower building, aerial sock wrestling, science experiments to see what force will elevate items, and Groups elevating their survival skills! We can’t wait to see what everybody else does this week. Feel free to send through any photos or details of what your Group got up to so we can collate them all in our end of Term newsletter. Have fun ELEVATING yourselves!

Clevedon Venturers had an epic, fun filled weekend away with our neighbours, Papakura and Te Puru Sea Scout Venturers 🙌🏼🙌🏼
The 19 of them mountain biked the Whakarewarewa ngāhere/forest, hiked Lake Tikitapu/Blue Lake, crossed the tree tops at the Redwoods night walk, and soaked in the thermal pools at Waikite. What a weekend!

If you want better weekends like this and are aged 14-17 come and see what Venturers is all about by contacting us on: [email protected]

A recent Scouts Aotearoa survey found that the number 1 activity that scouts of all ages enjoyed the most was … 🔥 FIRE 🔥

Who can blame them really, there is something mesmerising about fire!

Was that a fire at Camp Sladdin tonight? Or just the local volunteer fire brigade sharing their smoke machine to make our evacuation seem more realistic?

Great experience for our youth, to know what it sounds and looks like to be in a building full of smoke.

Huge thanks to Mike and Tristan from Clevedon Fire and Emergency for their support tonight!
