This past Saturday, 25th of April, 19 Squadron paraded at both the New Lynn RSA and Mount Albert services. It was a great opportunity to serve the community and to remember the fallen. The cadets joined together in a commemorative march and created a cenotaph guard.

And that's a wrap!
19 Squadron closed off the year with our Final Parade and Prizegiving at New Lynn RSA. It was a special evening with friends and whanau and some special guests as well to celebrate the achievements of our people. Certificates were presented, trophies were awarded and numerous hands were shaken. Massive thank for WGCDR Creedy for attending and helping present awards.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2026!

Over the last weekend, No 19 Squadron had its annual gliding camp, Op. Albatross.

In the weekend Cadets had the opportunity to go flying in a Motor glider, and an Aero tow glider! Learning about aviation and having fun while doing it🛫

Thank you to those who supported us over the weekend, especially the Aviation Sports Club, Pegasus Flying Trust, and No. 30 SQN for letting us stay in their facilities overnight,

Hopefully all of those who attended had fun, and have now gotten a slightly deeper love and understanding for aviation🎉

Last week, No. 19 (Auckland) Squadron hosted our annual Formal Dining In,

An evening for Cadets, Invited Guests, and Officers to come together, and break bread in tradition.

The evening was a great success, hosted in the New Lynn Memorial RSA, and with stewards from the City of Auckland Army Cadets . We’d like to thank both the Stewards, and the New Lynn RSA for their support throughout the evening,

The evening concluded with recognition of our Cadet’s success within the unit, through the awarding of a trophy, and of 5 promotions.

Over the last weekend No. 19 Squadron held its first bushcraft camp of 2025 in Whatipu, Auckland.

A weekend that started with Raincoats & Jerseys and ended in Shorts & T-Shirts,

Overall it was a great weekend; Persevering through pouring rain our basic 1 cadets experienced their first bushcraft activity, and our older cadets honed their skills in the bush,

Some of our Cadets built and slept in survival shelters, Some took a trip to see the local caves, and as a unit we learned the importance of proper gear for the bush.

We look forward to seeing what our next bushcraft activity holds!
