No these are not scenes from Mt Hutt Rescue... it's Kate our coordinator who unfortunately smashed her shoulder skiing on Tuesday.😕 She will be out of action for a while. Fellow timebanker gen captured the rescue!

Sadly this means we have had to cancel this month's social gathering - Sunday's trip to Mayfield & little Simply Eco. Sorry to those who were looking forward to this. We will reschedule it for next year.

Kate has posted some requests on the TimeBank members site for help with different things. We've also got someone who needs a sack barrel this weekend. Are you able to help? Or have you got requests to post too?

MID WINTER CHRISTMAS PARTY!

It's free - you just need to bring something for the potluck dinner & a wrapped pressie (less than $5) for the Danish present game.

It's a great opportunity for people who are new to town to meet others... and to have a bit of christmas cheer in the dark, cold, winter months. We enjoy dinner together and then play a few games. Who could you invite?

✨ Matariki is a time to remember those who have passed on and so we remember cherished timebank members who are no longer with us. We thank each of them for the ways they contributed to the TimeBank, through helping at events, organising fundraisers, serving on the board, giving their time to help other members and also receiving help enabling other members to connect with them and feel good about contributing. ✨

Our thoughts and warm wishes are with their families & friends at this time, especially those of Gladys and David who have so recently left us.💕

Gladys was a TimeBank member in the early years and helped people with all sorts of things - gardening, counselling, cooking, English conversation & companionship.. we appreciated her enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in!

David joined in 2024 and served as trustee and secretary on the Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust (which runs the TimeBank). He was an organised and dedicated trustee who we really miss. He was also a regular attendee of the Garden Conversation Hour and hosted a garden visit last year.
