For many people in our rural communities, asking for help doesn't come easily. That's why the work of Craig "Wiggy" Wiggins and the Whatever with Wiggy Charitable Trust is making such a meaningful difference.
Through the Lean On A Gate campaign, Wiggy has spent years encouraging people to check in on one another, start conversations, and strengthen the connections that hold communities together.
Now, through the Stronger Together programme, trusted rural professionals and community members are being equipped with the skills to recognise when someone may be struggling and help connect them with support before they reach crisis point. The impact is already being seen locally, with Mid Canterbury participants taking part in SafeTalk training and building the confidence to support those around them.
