We were honoured to host the Sahas Project Progress Review Meeting, bringing together the Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, the Information Officer of the National Child Rights Council (NCRC), Public Health Section of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, representatives from Nepal Police, and other key stakeholders, alongside the Sahas Project team and For The One's Chairperson and Treasurer.

The meeting reflected on the project's progress over the past 3 years and 2.5 months, highlighting key achievements, lessons learned, and challenges while reaffirming our shared commitment to the holistic protection, healing, and empowerment of vulnerable survivors. We are grateful for the valuable insights, encouragement, and continued partnership as we work together to create lasting change.

Together, we are building a future where every survivor can heal, thrive, and live with hope.

Every child deserves a place where they can feel safe, valued, and hopeful.

Last month, we welcomed three more girls into our Safe Home family. Aged 11, 15, and 19, they have each begun a new chapter and are continuing their education in Grades 3, 9, and 10.

At our Safe Home, we are committed to providing more than shelter. We walk alongside each girl on her journey of healing, helping her regain confidence, continue her education, and build hope for the future.

Please join us in welcoming these girls as they begin this new chapter of their lives.

Success looks different for everyone, and every journey has its own pace.

Alisha and Sushmita, from our Safe Home, have always wanted to continue their education, even though academics have been challenging for them. While encouraging them to keep pursuing their studies, we also supported them in developing practical skills that would help them build sustainable and independent futures.

They successfully completed bakery training and are now gaining valuable hands-on experience through internships at a renowned bakery café. Alongside developing their vocational skills, they also achieved an important academic milestone by passing the Secondary Education Examination on their second attempt, each earning a GPA of 2.56.

Building on this achievement, they have now enrolled in Grade 11, choosing Education as their field of study, while continuing their internships and working toward their future goals.

We are incredibly proud of their perseverance, resilience, and determination. Their journey is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths and pursue a hopeful future.

Congratulations, Alisha and Sushmita! We can't wait to see what lies ahead for you.

Half-Day Retreat for the Sahas Project Team

At For The One, we believe that caring for our team is just as important as caring for the girls we serve. By supporting the mental well-being of our staff, we equip them to continue walking alongside survivors with compassion, strength, and hope.

Recently, the Sahas Project staff, including house mothers, gathered at Taudaha for a half-day staff refreshment retreat. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, the team spent meaningful time together through a team meeting, an art therapy session with coloring, shared conversations, laughter, and a delicious lunch.

The retreat provided a valuable opportunity to rest, reconnect, strengthen relationships, and encourage collaboration. When those who care for others are cared for, healing becomes even more meaningful.

World Day Against Child Labour 2026

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a safe environment—free from exploitation.

In observance of World Day Against Child Labour, two girls from our Safe Home, Junu and San Nani, participated in an online awareness program on 7 June. On 11 June, Arabhya, Aakriti, Namrata, along with one of our house mothers, attended the main commemorative program in person, joining organizations committed to protecting children's rights and ending child labour in Nepal.

Leading up to the observance, the girls at our Safe Home participated in an art competition inspired by the theme of the day. Their artwork expressed their hopes for a future where every child can enjoy a safe childhood, receive an education, and live free from child labour. We are proud that the top three winning artworks were displayed at the main event, giving our girls' voices and creativity the opportunity to inspire others.

Together, we remain committed to creating a future where every child is safe, valued, and free to dream.

A proud milestone worth celebrating!

We are incredibly proud of five amazing young women from our Safe Home family—Ana (recently reintegrated), Junu, Kaali, Alisha, and Sunita—who have successfully graduated after completing an intensive 2-month bakery training program!

As part of their graduation, the training institute organized a special food tasting event where the girls showcased everything they had learned. They prepared an impressive variety of bakery items, including beautifully decorated cakes, creamy mousse, donuts, breads, buns, muffins, cookies, and more. Every bite reflected their dedication, hard work, and growing confidence.

Some of the members of our Sahas Project team attended the event to celebrate this special achievement and enjoy the delicious treats. The girls also thoughtfully shared their baked creations with our office staff and the girls at both the Safe Home and The Genesis Abode, making the celebration even sweeter for everyone.

Reaching this level of skill is a remarkable accomplishment, and we're even more excited that all five girls have now begun internships at a renowned bakery. This hands-on experience will help them build confidence, strengthen their skills, and prepare for future employment and independent living.

Watching these young women grow into capable, confident, and resilient individuals is one of the greatest joys of our work. Their journey is a powerful reminder that when survivors are given opportunities, encouragement, and the right support, they can build bright and hope-filled futures.

Please join us in celebrating Ana, Junu, Kaali, Alisha, and Sunita—we couldn't be prouder of all they have accomplished!

A New Beginning

Last month, we welcomed a 15-year-old girl into our Safe Home family.

Behind every child who walks through our doors is a story of unimaginable hardship—but also the possibility of hope, healing, and a brighter future.

At our Safe Home, she has found a place where she is safe, loved, and supported. Together, we'll walk alongside her as she begins her journey toward healing, restoration, and renewed hope.

Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible. Your prayers, generosity, and encouragement help create a place where girls can find safety and begin again.

Back-to-School Support for Sahayatri Students

For The One recently distributed school uniforms and school bags to 20 students of Aadharbhut Vidhyalaya Bankatta who are part of our Sahayatri program.

These essential supplies help ease the financial burden on families and ensure that students can begin the school year with confidence and dignity. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams, and we're grateful to be part of that journey.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps make opportunities like this possible for children in our communities.

Walking Alongside Children on Their Educational Journey

For The One recently distributed school uniforms and school shoes to 50 children enrolled in our Sahayatri Program at Janahit Rastriya Madhyamik Vidhyalaya (Janahit School) in Padampur, Chitwan.

At For The One, our desire is to be a Sahayatri—a companion who walks alongside children and their families through life's challenges and opportunities. By providing these essential school items, we hope to encourage and support each child as they pursue their education and dreams.

We are honored to journey with these children, reminding them that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
