Bringing Better Healthcare Closer to Communities

We are grateful to receive a Portable Ultrasound Machine from Stichting Vrienden van Ampipal, Netherlands, a generous contribution that will help strengthen access to essential healthcare services.

Recognizing the need for improved diagnostic facilities in the community, For The One has provided the Portable Ultrasound Machine to Kalika Nagar Hospital (कालिका नगर अस्पताल) to support timely and accessible healthcare for local residents.

This initiative reflects what can be achieved through meaningful collaboration—connecting generous support with real community needs. Together, we are working to make quality healthcare more accessible, closer to home, and available to those who need it most.

A New Chapter for Kaali

Kaali, from Safe Home, has always been interested in the bakery field and has been working toward her goal with determination.

After completing her bakery training and gaining practical experience through an internship, Kaali has now secured a job at a bakery. This is more than just a new job—it is an opportunity for her to put her skills into practice, grow in confidence, and take another step toward independence.

We are proud of how far she has come and excited to see where this new journey takes her. Every achievement of our girls is also an achievement for For The One. When Safe Home was started, it was with the dream of seeing each girl grow into an independent and contributing member of society, regardless of her past.

Every girl carries unique value and has the potential to make a difference when given the right environment, support, and opportunities to thrive.

We celebrate Kaali today and look forward to all that lies ahead for her.

Remembering Young Lives

On the occasion of the 62nd National Children’s Day 2083, representatives from different organizations gathered at Children’s Peace Park, Sinamangal, Kathmandu, for a candle-lighting ceremony organized by CZOP.

The ceremony was held in remembrance of children and adolescents who have lost their lives or remain missing due to armed conflict, violence, disasters, the recent Gen Z demonstrations, and various movements.

As Nepal continues to recover from the recent floods, we also remembered the children who lost their lives in the floods, whose absence has left families and communities grieving.

For The One’s Project Coordinator joined the gathering as we paused to honour these young lives and reflect on our shared responsibility to protect children and uphold their right to safety, dignity, and a hopeful future.

Every child’s life matters. Every childhood deserves to be protected.

Strengthening Disaster Response Through Psychological Support

For The One conducted the “Disaster Response Training: Psychological First Aid & Crisis Stabilization”, facilitated by Dr. Jeanne Brooks, Clinical Psychosocial Counsellor from the United States, with around 30 participants.

The training helped participants strengthen their understanding of responding to people experiencing distress during and after disasters. A Q&A session followed, giving participants space to ask questions and clarify concerns.

Puspa Sunar, a participant, shared:
"The session was personally very thoughtful, informative, and a blessing. I learned how to validate the thoughts and behaviors of traumatized individuals and how to respond to them in ways that can support their healing."

Our goal is to provide Critical Incident Debriefing (CISD) for community leaders and organise further sessions for organisations, caregivers and responders supporting disaster-affected communities in Nepal.

Because recovery needs both practical relief and emotional support.

From your support to action. ❤️

As part of our relief response in Nuwakot, 200 hygiene kits for families and 200 activity kits for children were distributed to families affected by the recent disaster.

🧼 Hygiene kits for 200 people included toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, sanitary pads, hair comb, shampoo, towel, hair bands, hair oil, a bag, undergarments, detergent soap, slippers, and body scrub—essential items to help families maintain personal hygiene and dignity during a difficult time.

🖍️ Activity kits for 200 children included colour pencils, colour crayons, a drawing copy, an activity/coloring book, pencil, eraser, and clay. These kits were more than just creative supplies. For children experiencing the disruption and stress caused by a disaster, creative activities can provide moments of joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy.

And the children’s excitement—especially as they received their own activity kits and blow bubbles created more fun to them that reminded us why these little things matter. And a reason why this kit is important and funds should be spent on it. ❤️

This relief response was made possible because of your support. Every contribution helps us turn resources into meaningful support for families and children who need it.

We hope to continue reaching more families and supporting them not only through immediate relief, but also as they recover and rebuild.
