On this World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the power of collective action and community resilience. In the flood-prone Chaudhar River Basin of Kanchanpur District of Nepal, communities are taking proactive steps to reduce disaster risks. Through citizen science, low-cost hydrometeorological monitoring, and the system, local people are strengthening early warning and anticipatory action mechanisms to protect lives, livelihoods, and agriculture from increasing flood threats.
