🌍 𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐍!

Global Education Week (GEW) is a 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 that encourages people to explore how education can help build a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable world.

As KOPIN, we are coordinating 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐂𝐒𝐎𝐬) for this year’s campaign, and we invite 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝!

💡 Organise a 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩, host a 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, run a 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, plan an 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 or bring your community together to explore global issues.

We had a wonderful meeting to discuss the way ahead as our project enters its next and more exciting phases! With ideas flowing and creativity growing, we are taking important steps towards bringing our short film exploring the richness, beauty and traditions of Ethiopian culture to life. 🇪🇹🎥

It is all about celebrating diversity, sharing stories, and building bridges between cultures through the power of film. We cannot wait to see our ideas unfold and share this journey with you!

Who Pays the Price for Our Food?

Behind the fruit and vegetables on our shelves are the people who grow, pick and pack them. But what are the realities behind the food we eat? Join us for a screening of The Pickers, followed by a panel discussion bringing the film’s themes closer to home. Together, we’ll explore the people and working conditions behind our food, the realities of agricultural labour in Malta and Europe, and what a fairer food system could look like.

We want a justice system that is fair, independent and equal for everyone.

On 4 October at 4pm, join us at Pjazza Tritoni, Valletta, for a concert protest calling for justice, accountability and meaningful reform.

Another training cycle with DCYDE! has come to an end, and we couldn’t be happier to look back on everything we’ve shared and achieved together.

This cycle gave us another opportunity to experience the value of blended learning, bringing together online learning and in-person sessions to create a flexible, engaging and collaborative learning experience.

A huge thank you to our trainers and facilitators for their time, expertise and enthusiasm, and to all our learners for bringing their curiosity, ideas and commitment to every session. It’s the people involved who make each training cycle what it is, and we’ve really enjoyed watching new skills develop, conversations grow and connections form along the way.

We’re grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and excited to see where the learning continues to take them.

And there’s still more to come!
