Our current national training cycle for DCYDE! is coming to an end, and it’s been a really valuable journey for everyone involved.

Over the past weeks, participants have explored collaboration, co-creation, and dialogue in a hybrid space, along with intercultural learning, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and how to support young people aged 15–30 in developing 21st century skills while leading the way in exploring global issues and finding solutions.

It’s been a true learning experience, and we’re excited to see this group grow into facilitators as the cycle continues. Our next training cycle will begin in July, so don’t miss your chance to get involved!

On the 30th of April, Kopin was present at San Gwakkin Primary school and the Hal-Lija/Hal-Balzan/L-Iklin Primary School, giving 6 professional development sessions to middle and secondary school teachers of Maltese, English, and French.

The sessions focused on 'Bias, Stereotypes and Prejudice'. It was our pleasure to interact with the educators and engage in mutual co-learning.

On May 15th, Kopin facilitated a 3.5-hour training about Multiculturalism to the Mosta Primary B community.

From Monday, 27th April to Wednesday, 29th April, was present at the Ekoskola's FEE FEST at St. Nicholas College, Wardija, where we had the opportunity to facilitate a short interactive activity on the importance of (intercultural) dialogue with the students. We also had the opportunity to speak to educators about our DCYDE DEAR-funded project.

Kopin Malta is recruiting new volunteers as part of our community. Do you want to be part of meaningful action that brings people together?

Whether you are passionate about organising social events through our Events Squad, or supporting migrant children through our Child Minding Squad, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing capacity building

Volunteers are asked to commit for a minimum of six months, helping us build consistent, welcoming, and impactful spaces for the communities we work with.

Kopin is a non-profit (VO/200) development and human rights NGO which works in international cooperation for sustainable development, global education and migrant support.

Last week, Kopin Malta participated in an exchange on Social Communication Media Training as part of the Premieres of Diversity Erasmus+ project hosted in Rome by Associazione ValIda. Together, we had the opportunity to take part in training on scriptwriting, editing, and voice production.

Kopin Malta is a proud partner of a new CERV-funded project led by our friends at Amref Health Africa.

Y-Turnout EU is first and foremost a participatory democracy initiative designed to address the growing political disengagement and gender gap among young Europeans, as reflected in attitudes and voting behaviour in the 2024 EU elections.

By focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), a key policy area intersecting gender equality, healthcare access, and social justice to address a human right and fundamental pillar of women’s rights, the project empowers diverse youth, including marginalized communities, to actively shape EU, national and local policies.

This Wednesday and Friday, we kick-start this new adventure with a two-day virtual workshop focusing on EU SRHR Advocacy.

Last Month, Kopin Malta and Kunsill Lokali L-Imsida celebrated KNŻ - Kunsill Nazzjonali taż-Żgħażagħ & Friends of the Earth Malta and their Youth Climate Action initiatives as part of Sublime Project.

A moment of appreciation and celebration in the form of il_lokal locally sourced produce, for the amazing youth leaders who, over the past couple of months, have worked tirelessly on several activities to increase knowledge and awareness, and to promote solutions and ideas for climate action in Msida.
