Youth for Mission (YfM) is part of Missio Malta, which represents the official missionary organisation of the Catholic Church known as the Pontifical Mission Societies. Every year, the group invites youths to enrich their summer by spending a few weeks volunteering abroad. Since Missio is global, it has contacts with several missionary countries which always welcome any assistance with their diffe
rent projects. Volunteers with YfM meet on a regular basis in the months prior to the experience and are encouraged to organise team-building and fund-raisings activities. All proceeds from these events go towards projects in the country the youths will be travelling to. As a Catholic organisation, Youth for Mission also seeks to spread the Good News of the Gospel in Word and in Action.
