📘✨ First in-person meeting of the NbS4LD project partners
On 10–11 February 2026, partners of the Erasmus+ project
“Enhancing Technical and Vocational Skills for Implementing Nature-Based Solutions to Combat Land Degradation (NbS4LD)”
met in Istanbul, Türkiye, hosted at the Orhantepe R&D and Training Center of the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works.
The meeting brought together 6 partner organisations from 4 European countries:
• General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion, Türkiye
• Ankara Intercultural Research Association, Türkiye
• Fondazione European Research Institute ETS, Italy
• Kastamonu University, Türkiye
• Mixtura Ambiental, Spain
• Regional Forestry and Rural Development Centre – REFORD, North Macedonia
🎯 Project focus:
✔ Preventing land degradation through Nature-Based Solutions (NbS)
✔ Integrating green skills into vocational education
✔ Strengthening capacities of lecturers and technical staff
✔ Developing innovative learning materials and digital tools
✔ Enhancing international cooperation and knowledge exchange
During the two-day meeting, partners presented their expertise, explored synergies, and developed a detailed work plan, setting the foundation for strong collaboration and effective communication throughout the project.
🌿 The first thematic interactive session is planned for March, focusing on NbS concepts for tackling land degradation in terrestrial ecosystems.
