In the JEE Main 1 2026 results, nearly 400 girls from our high-touch programs appeared for the exam. About 1 in 3 qualified, and around 60 girls are likely to get into NITs based on 2025 cut-offs.

For Avanti Fellows, these numbers represent a profound shift. Many of these students are first-generation learners from rural India, stepping into a field where women—especially from their backgrounds—have historically been underrepresented.

This is our mission in action: ensuring that a girl’s potential is defined by her talent, not her geography or gender. Every girl securing an NIT seat today is paving the way for a generation of women scientists and engineers from rural India tomorrow.

Among all our high-touch programs, the JNV Centres of Excellence (CoEs) stood out this year. These are dedicated residential classrooms inside Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, serving high-performing students from rural and low‑income backgrounds who are brought together from across each region. In 2026, they delivered a 88% qualification rate for JEE Main 1, with around 235 students likely to place into NITs based on the 2025 cut-offs.

This unique, centralized model creates a robust learning ecosystem where talent meets opportunity. Through a comprehensive two-year program featuring expert instruction, structured assessment, and mentorship, students build a culture of high expectations and rigorous practice inside government schools.

For Avanti Fellows, this is exactly what our core mission looks like in practice: bringing world‑class STEM preparation into the public education system so that a child in a rural Navodaya has the same shot at an IIT or NIT.

Each year, we wait for JEE Main 1 results with the same mix of nerves and excitement that our students feel. And just like last year, we’re once again incredibly proud of their effort, determination, and resilience!

This year, over 900 students from our high-touch programs appeared for JEE Main 1. About half qualified, and more than 260 students are likely to secure NIT seats based on 2025 cut‑offs.

This is not just a student achievement story. It reflects the work of teachers who stay back for extra doubt sessions, mentors who support students through every setback, and parents who back their children’s ambitions even though they haven't walked this path themselves. It’s a milestone for communities that have long been excluded from elite engineering pathways, as their children now compete nationally.

Every milestone, like this year’s JEE Main 1 results, is possible only because of donors and partners who share in our vision. Their support helps us place teachers in classrooms, run multiple interventions, and give first-generation learners the tools and confidence to compete for IITs and NITs.

Big day for all of us at Avanti Fellows – and what a way to kick off 2026 with a huge milestone!

On 17 February, the Union Education Minister, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, officially launched the CM SHRI Schools programme in Delhi, in the presence of the Delhi Chief Minister, Smt. Rekha Gupta and Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, under the aegis of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

We’re super excited that Avanti’s Gurkul version for Delhi (CM SHRI Portal) was launched as one of the key projects at CM SHRI School – Sarojini Nagar and was chosen by the Delhi Government as one of the top 10 projects inaugurated to mark its first year in power—a huge achievement for our team and partners.

Built by Avanti Fellows, powered by Capgemini, and supported by Tata Motors, the CM SHRI Portal puts students front and centre: it brings together curated study content, video lectures, practice tests, and personalised performance tracking into one simple, student-friendly platform. It’s meant to be a one-stop digital companion for anyone preparing for competitive exams, giving them reliable information and a clear, structured prep journey.

The CM SHRI school system is based on eight core pillars, and our portal powers the pillar focused on access to reliable, competitive exam information by delivering high-quality, personalised prep resources at scale.

This is exactly what drives us at Avanti Fellows: helping students from underprivileged backgrounds escape poverty in a single generation by supporting them to crack exams like JEE and NEET—some of the toughest exams in the world. By bringing world-class preparation support to government schools, we’re working to ensure a student’s background doesn’t define their future.

The same technology is already running in the NVS ecosystem, supporting 80,000+ students across India, and this Delhi launch is our first state-level partnership for the platform. For the Avanti team, this is a huge win to start 2026—and it’s only February, with so much of the year still ahead of us to learn, build, and scale our impact with our government and school partners.
