Our focus is to introduce the Wheelchair Cricket & Divyang Women players of Mumbai & Maharashtra at National and International level. ape, the founder of this association. Divyang Wheelchair Cricket Association is established to promote wheelchair cricket in Maharashtra. The DIVYANG WHEELCHAIR CRICKET ASSOCIATION is affiliated with the DIVYANG CRICKET CONTROL BOARD OF INDIA, which handles all the affairs of Indian wheelchair cricket. The Divyang Wheelchair Cricket Association handles all the affairs of Maharashtra Wheelchair Cricket Team, without getting any help from the "Mumbai Cricket Association" or any government body. The Divyang Wheelchair Cricket Association is funded by a number of NGOs and voluntary donors. At present our association has 25 to 30 players registered from all over Maharashtra. Batting, bowling and fielding are all done on wheelchair. Wheelchair cricket involves players with 60% to 100% disability in one or both legs. Same players (Parshuram Desale, Kamlakar Karale, Mohd Hafeez Ansari, Ramesh Sartape, Sunilkumar Patil & Shahid Ansari) of our organization play in the Indian team and the captain of the Indian wheelchair cricket team is Ramesh Sartape, he is the secretary of our organization. Maharashtra Wheelchair Cricket Team Coach Mr. Manish Sharma is also the coach of the Indian Wheelchair Cricket team.
