A haircut can change your look & a hair donation can change someone’s spirit.

We are grateful to Jawed Habib Hair & Beauty salons for partnering with V Care Foundation to spread the beautiful message of hair donation for those fighting cancer.

Starting with select salons across Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai, every strand donated carries hope, confidence, and strength. As a small token of appreciation, donors receive a 20% discount on their haircut.

We thank every donor, stylist and every supporter who walk with us this journey and believe that kindness looks beautiful on everyone.

The Circle of Care.

V Care Foundation is deeply grateful for the opportunity to conduct an awareness program at Dr. Kalmadi Shamrao High School and Junior College for their wonderful teachers.

What made the session truly special were the heartfelt stories and connections that emerged during our interaction. One teacher shared that her daughter had donated her hair to V Care during COVID to help create wigs for cancer patients and it was incredibly moving for her to reconnect with us once again after all these years.

Another inspiring teacher spoke openly and courageously about her ovarian cancer journey, and generously committed to volunteering with V Care, while yet another teacher who had been a caregiver to her mother through cancer treatment, and her words of appreciation for the work V Care does touched us deeply.

Awareness programs are not just about sharing information but they are also about building a compassionate community, creating meaningful connections, and letting people know they are never alone in their journey.

Connecting through real experiences.

V Care had the opportunity to engage with the teachers of Nashik Cambridge School, during an awareness session that turned into a truly meaningful exchange. The conversations flowed effortlessly, reflecting not just curiosity but also empathy and understanding. Many teachers shared personal connections to cancer—whether as caregivers for friends and families or through self experiences; adding depth and sincerity to the dialogue.

We are deeply grateful for this interaction, as it reinforced the importance of awareness and open conversations in building a supportive community. Awareness is not just about information, but also about connection, compassion, and shared strength.

Power of Understanding beyond Technology.

Grateful to Voice of Healthcare for inviting our Founder, Mrs Vandana Gupta to their panel along with Dr. Aditya Sarin (Medical Oncologist) from Sir Gangaram Hospital Delhi; the session was moderated by Dr. Prashant Kumar, Chief Scientific Officer from Datar Cancer Genetics at the Precision Med India Conclave 2026.

She shared a powerful perspective about drawing from her journey as a patient over the past 31 years to today’s era of rapid advancements and AI in healthcare. While there are still challenges, it’s encouraging to see how innovative medicines are improving long-term outcomes.

Her message was clear: anything designed for patients must be communicated in a language they truly understand. With many still facing technological barriers, that initial hand-holding becomes critical in helping them navigate the difficult journey of a cancer diagnosis.

An important reminder that progress in healthcare must always stay grounded in empathy, accessibility, and patient-first thinking.

Ride of Comfort

We are deeply grateful to the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay North for their generous support in facilitating patient transport.

This thoughtful initiative will bring much-needed ease and comfort to both patients and caregivers, while significantly reducing out-of-pocket expenses. Especially during the intense summer heat and challenging monsoon season, this service will be a true relief—ensuring safer, more dignified access to care when it is needed most.

Seeing beyond the storm.

They were given nothing more than a simple outline—a pair of eyes sketched on plain paper. No instructions, no expectations, just an invitation. And somehow, that quiet prompt became a doorway. Cancer survivors, patients, and caregivers leaned into their imagination, each set of eyes transforming into something deeply personal: a garden in bloom, a storm softening at the edges, a face smiling through tears, a galaxy where hope shimmered stubbornly. In that room, vulnerability didn’t feel heavy—it felt shared, almost weightless, like everyone had gently set their burdens down for a while.

There was something beautifully quirky about it too—how a few hesitant strokes turned into bursts of color, unexpected humor, even playful defiance. One pair of eyes wore a superhero hat, another transformed into a beautiful madhubani painting, a quiet message that all carried “I’m still here, still seeing, still dreaming.” And maybe that was the magic of it: not just what they created, but how they saw themselves again—not as survivors, patients or caregivers alone, but as storytellers, artists, and quiet warriors, finding warmth and light in the most unexpected places.

Awareness that Inspires Courage.

V Care recently conducted an engaging awareness session at Sheth Gopalji Hemraj High School, focusing on building understanding around various types of cancer, their early signs, and the importance of prevention. The session highlighted how simple lifestyle choices, regular screenings, and timely medical consultation can play a crucial role in reducing risk and ensuring early detection. Special emphasis was placed on being attentive to subtle changes in the body, reinforcing that awareness is often the first step toward effective care.

What made the session particularly meaningful was the participation of a few teachers who had personally experienced cancer and bravely shared their journeys. Their stories added a deeply human perspective, inspiring others to approach cancer with courage rather than fear. The discussion maintained a reassuring and positive tone, encouraging vigilance without anxiety, and empowering everyone with knowledge, confidence, and hope.

Courting the Cause-Way

At the 32nd Cancer Survivors’ Day, the Ratan Award honoured ten inspiring young changemakers from the Squash A Mile organising team—Mahika Jain, Sohaya Ahuja, Tanvi Patel, Imaan Virji, Armaan Thapar, Thea Ajoomal, Rianna Holland, Shloka Patel, Ananya Dalal, and Ananya Mehra. What began 12 years ago as a deeply personal journey for Rhea and Rohaan Advani, following their mother’s courageous victory over breast cancer, has grown into a powerful annual movement uniting the squash community to raise funds and awareness.

For over four years, this dedicated team of young volunteers has led the initiative with passion and purpose, supported by institutions like B.D. Somani School and Bombay Gymkhana. Squash A Mile continues to foster empathy and social responsibility, reminding us that when compassion meets action, even small efforts can create a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.

A big thank you to Mrs. Sadhana Patni, Mrs. Renuka Advani & Mr. Dinesh Advani for presenting the award.
