On June 26, as part of Trinayani's 2.0 series, we had the privilege of hosting shy / shivangi agrawal Shivangi (Shy) Agrawal—a q***r disabled activist, researcher, writer, artist, facilitator, DEI professional and a para swimmer for a deeply insightful conversation on the intersection of disability and q***rness.

The session went beyond definitions and theories. Through Shy's lived experiences, we explored what it means to navigate the world with multiple identities and why true inclusion requires us to recognize the intersections between them.

Some of the key themes we discussed included:

• Shy's personal journey into disability rights and q***r advocacy.
• Experiences of belonging and exclusion within both disability and LGBTQIA+ spaces.
• Understanding intersectionality and why it matters.
• Balancing visible and invisible aspects of identity.
• What organizations are doing well and what they still need to improve to build genuinely inclusive workplaces.
• How each of us can become a better ally and continue learning about LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

A heartfelt thank you to Shivangi (Shy) Agrawal for sharing their experiences with such honesty, generosity and openness. We also thank everyone who joined us and contributed to making this a meaningful and engaging discussion.

The learning doesn't end with one conversation. Let us continue listening, learning and working together to build a world where every person belongs.

How often do we hear conversations about disability and q***rness in the same room? This Pride Month, we're bringing these two conversations together.

Join us online via Zoom on *June 26 (Fri), 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM* for the fourth session of our Building Back Better 2.0 series, *featuring Shivangi/Shy, a q***r disabled activist, researcher, writer, artist, facilitator, and now a national medal-winning para swimmer.*

For over a decade, Shy has worked across disability rights, accessibility, sexuality, gender, education, mental health and public policy, helping people and organizations rethink what inclusion really looks like.

But this session isn't just about policies.
It's about hearing from someone who lives at the intersection of q***rness and disability, someone who has challenged barriers, questioned stereotypes and turned personal experience into advocacy.

Whether you're joining because it's Pride Month, because you're curious or because you simply want to understand people a little better, this conversation is for you.

Day is not just about how music sounds. It’s about what music does.

On World Music Day, as we celebrate music as something we listen to, let’s also notice how music can be used to respond, connect, and support people.

Our film featuring and , music therapists from the Chennai School of Music Therapy, opens a door into the world of music therapy, where rhythm, melody, and silence aren’t just art, but tools for healing, communication, regulation, and care. From children with developmental differences to patients in hospital wards, music becomes less of a performance and more of a bridge.

So if music has ever helped you feel steadier and lighter, this film on our Website is for you.
