Akshya Pratisthan

Akshya Pratisthan is a small school that was set up in 1987 and had expanded to become the rehabilitation center for underprivileged students.

It is well known for its vocational training, medical care and employment opportunities. It started with the aim of providing education, medical care, vocational training, and employment opportunities. In the last 20 years, Akshay has grown from strength to strength leaving its imprint by providing services to the underprivileged and the differently abled sections of the society. Akshay Pratishthan has integrated able bodied and differently abled children to form an institution looked upon by everyone. Over the years, the students have shown a thirst to prove themselves in every field leaving no stone unturned. Our students have crossed many hurdles to participate and excel in academics, sports, fine arts and the performing arts. Akshay Pratishthan is growing with the continuous support of the donors, sponsors, volunteers, children and their parents. It is our dream to educate the differently abled and underprivileged sections of the society on a platform to prove that “Nothing is Impossible.”

This Gandhi Jayanti, Akshya Pratisthan came together at Gandhi Smriti to honour Gandhiji’s enduring message of peace, non-violence, compassion, and unity.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, our students also had the incredible opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi - a moment they will remember for years to
come.

Awareness begins when we choose to speak up - and change begins when we choose to act. 💚

Our students took their message beyond the school gates with an awareness walk through the neighbourhood, encouraging people to keep their surroundings clean, protect the environment, plant more trees, and recognise every child’s right to education.

A walk for a cleaner, greener, and more inclusive tomorrow - one message at a time.

At Akshya Pratisthan, our Gandhi Jayanti celebration was an opportunity to help children understand the values Gandhiji stood for - truth, kindness, non-violence, equality, and responsibility - and, more importantly, how we can practise them in our everyday lives.
