✨ BIG NEWS! We are so excited to announce our next production - Hill of the Hares by Maria Tivnan

β€œthere might be some kind of solace in what surrounds us”

After nine years apart, Cass and Michael meet again on the day of a funeral drawn back to the place they call home, and to the night that changed everything between them. Their meeting marks a pivotal moment, heightened by the reappearance of an elusive hare. As past and present intertwine, the play delves into the intimate lives of its characters, tracing their shared history and unspoken wounds.

Fregoli Theatre in association with The Mick Lally Theatre and Roscommon Arts Centre presents Hill of the Hares - a lyrical and haunting exploration of love, loss, and the enduring pull of home from Roscommon native Maria Tivnan. Rooted in the Irish landscape, this evocative new play asks audiences to listen to the earth, reflecting on where we come from, and what may call us back.

Warning:
Summer camps may cause excessive excitement, spontaneous smiling, and permanent memories! πŸŽ‰

From kayaking and canoeing to rock climbing and mud slides, obstacle courses to team-building games, these camps are like a shot of adrenaline for your kiddo's summer! πŸ’₯ But don't worry, it's not all fun and games (okay, it kinda is). They'll also learn some super valuable life skills, grow their confidence and self-esteem, and make friends that'll last longer than their summer tan. 🌞

πŸ’œ'Chosen with Love by Our Volunteers'
This month, meet our Irish Heritage Trust volunteer Brigid.

Brigid is a volunteer that wears many hats at Strokestown Park. Brigid has worked on projects in the house, helps out at events and many visitors will have seen her wonderful seasonal displays in the Woodland CafΓ© and Visitors Centre but the Walled Garden is where you can most often find her.

Brigid has chosen the winter border as somewhere she would love visitors to see. It is at the top end of the garden and is planted with mainly white flowering plants. Brigid has undertaken a very large project to restore it to its former glory with the help of the gardening staff.

2026 is International Volunteer Year. If you are interested in volunteering at Strokestown Park, we would love to hear from you.
