We are three Strokestown TY students who have combined our love of agricultural machinery with our transition year student enterprise programme to raise money for Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland. We have been making the most of our latest lockdown by restoring a 1956 Ferguson 20 tractor as part of TY enterprise programme. Instead of spliting the profits we have decided it would be great if we
could help support children and teenagers who are going through cancer, as Jack was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) when he was younger. He spent three and a half years going up and down Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin (now CHI at Crumlin) for chemotherapy
We hope our project inspires and helps other children and teenagers in their fight with cancer and hopefully they too will be busy at projects like our friend Jack when they come out the other side. All profits from our enterprise will be donated to Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland.
