🎃 A big thank you from Kilcoona Scouts! 👻

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Halloween disco at Corrandulla Hall! We hope you all had a fantastic time dancing, having fun and getting into the Halloween spirit. It was lovely to see so many families and friends come along! 🕺💃

A huge thank you to our organisers, leaders and parents who helped with setting up, keeping everything running during the disco and tidying up afterwards. Your time and hard work made it all possible.

Special thanks to Annaghdown Parish Council, and especially John Harkin, for facilitating our disco, and to Sound to Light Galway for their help with lights. ✨

Thank you all for supporting Kilcoona Scouts and helping make it such a fun occasion! ⚜️🎃

Halloween Disco 2026 - Corrandulla Community Centre

05/10/2026

What a night! Last Friday our Cubs took part in a Sleep Out to support Galway Simon Community and to learn more about homelessness and the importance of having a safe place to call home.
Thanks to Headford Community Garden and Headford Men's Shed we had a chance to use their facilities to have our stay more comfortable.

It was a very cold night, but our Cubs were absolutely fantastic! They showed amazing teamwork, positivity and determination throughout the evening.

We had games, hot chocolate, a warm fire, food and plenty of laughs.

A huge THANK YOU to every Cub who took part — you should all be very proud of yourselves!
And a massive thank you to all the parents and families for supporting the Cubs, helping with fundraising and getting behind this important cause.

We were also very lucky to have a visit from the Simon Community team during the evening. A special moment was handing over the fundraising buckets full of cash to the Simon Community team.

Well done Kilcoona Cubs ☺️

If anyone would still like to support this fantastic cause, donations will remain open for the next couple of weeks, so there is still time to contribute. Every donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.

On Friday, 2nd October, our Cubs will swap their comfortable beds for sleeping bags and spend the night camping outdoors to raise awareness and much-needed funds for people experiencing homelessness 😀

Our amazing Cubs and Scouters have already been out collecting donations at Tesco!

A MASSIVE thank-you to everyone who stopped, donated, chatted with our young Scouts and supported this wonderful cause. Your generosity means so much to us!

But we're not finished yet!

Our young Scouts are putting their hearts into this challenge, and we'd love our local community to get behind them!

💚 Donate whatever you can.
💚 Share our fundraiser with your friends and family.
💚 Help our Cubs make a real difference!
