Our thoughts are with the victims and survivors of George Gibney at this time.
We recognise that recent developments may bring a range of emotions for those affected, and that this may be an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time.
While a conviction represents a significant and positive step towards justice and accountability, we also recognise the courage, resilience and determination of those who have spent so many years seeking to have their voices heard.
At Dignity4Patients, we stand in solidarity with all victims and survivors of sexual abuse. We hope this outcome brings some measure of recognition, validation and comfort to those affected.

2025 was a year of significant impact, progress and, importantly, renewed hope for DIGNITY4PATIENTS and the victims and survivors we support.
Over the past year, we supported 335 victims and survivors, responded to more than 4,000 helpline engagements, and provided advocacy and support across 36 active criminal cases and 27 active civil cases. Behind every number is a person, a story and someone who deserves to be heard, supported and treated with dignity.

2025 also saw victims and survivors courageously bring their voices into the public and political sphere, helping to secure a Government commitment to a Scoping Exercise towards an appropriate and bespoke Commission of Investigation into the abuse perpetrated by Michael Shine & institutional failures.
This is an important step, but there is still much work to do in the pursuit of truth, justice, accountability, and safer healthcare.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who stood with us throughout the year — our clients, survivors, staff, volunteers, Board, funders, partners and supporters.
