Drogheda ABACAS School for Children with Autism was founded in 2003 by the parent group which went on to become Autism Support Louth. ABACAS was an ABA pilot school for 8 years and is now a Special School for Children with Autism with an evidence based ethos utilising all evidence based approaches to education including ABA (applied behaviour analysis)

🎮 Gaming Club 🎮

Our Gaming Club is back for a new term!
Children can play a variety of games on our Nintendo Switches, either on their own or in a small groups.

We are running two age groups:

The club runs on Monday evenings, for 6 weeks, starting 2nd of November.

We are delighted to be a part of the Disability Job and Training Fair happening in Drogheda tomorrow.

We wish to invite all school leavers, job seekers and their parents/carers to come and visit.

You will have a chance to meet employers, support services and training providers, learn about current and future job vacancies, and explore new work opportunities.

Employers include Dovida, Tarasis Enterprises, Cleantech Civils, EliteForm Manufacturing, Irish Rail and Bud Healthcare.

You can also find out about work experience, training courses and support to help you get a job.

CE SCHEME & DISABILITY ALLOWANCE INFORMATION EVENING

Parents, school leavers and job seekers, join us for an information evening with Community Employment officer in the North Louth area.

They will introduce opportunities available to you under CE Scheme and how it impacts your Disability Allowance.

Evening will cover:

- Introduction to Community Employment
- Advantages of Community Employment
- Qualification criteria
- Rates of payment
- Available job types
- Step-by-step application process

All welcome to our annual Post 18 Expo!

This is a great opportunity for young autistic adults or with additional needs and their parents to meet Day Service/Further Education Course providers and view post school options available in the Louth/Meath area.

This is relevant both for people leaving school in the next couple of years and also those who may have left school a few years ago.
