A message from the Festival Director of Drogheda Pride
What an incredible weekend Drogheda Pride 2026 has been.
First and foremost, I want to wish everyone a very Happy Pride. To everyone celebrating across Ireland and beyond, thank you for continuing to support, uplift and champion our LGBTQ+ community. And especially, thank you to everyone who made Drogheda Pride such a success.
None of this would have been possible without my dedicated volunteer team, who worked tirelessly throughout the year to bring Drogheda Pride to life. Your commitment, passion and hard work have been truly inspiring.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our sponsors and supporters: Louth County Council, Tourism Ireland, the Night-Time Economy Specialists, Love Drogheda, Visit Louth,
Asetica Clinic, Waterwipes and No Label Events, whose support helped make this year’s festival possible.
A very special thank you goes to my incredible Drogheda Pride team: Josephine, Tayla, Jeff, Karen, Karen D, Daniel, Oisín and Astrid. Thank you for your dedication, support and countless hours of work throughout the year.
To our graphic designer, Aisling Foley thank you for bringing our vision to life so beautifully.
Thank you also to the fantastic team at CTI Printing for producing our posters, flyers, booklets and promotional materials. Your professionalism and support have been invaluable.
A huge thank you to McHugh’s Venue for hosting Drogheda Pride this year and for their generosity and support throughout the festival.
Shane, Tony and everyone at Millmount, thank you for looking after us so well and helping create such a welcoming atmosphere.
I would also like to thank the Mayor of Drogheda, Declan Power, and Senator Alison Comyn for joining us for the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony and standing in solidarity with our community.
To our incredible performers — Filthy Gorgeous, Tara Dignam, Therese Cahill, David McSavage, F***y Splitt McGee, RYO, Taylor Maid Colby, Bonbon, Avatar Guille and Aidan G — thank you for sharing your talent and helping us create unforgettable celebrations.
A special thank you goes to An Garda Síochána, particularly Stephanie, Yvette, Eric and the team at Drogheda Garda Station, for their ongoing support throughout the year and during Drogheda Pride weekend.
To everyone who purchased a ticket, attended an event, joined the parade, volunteered, shared our posts or simply showed their support — thank you. As a regional Pride festival, we don’t always have access to the same funding opportunities as larger events, so every ticket, donation and act of support means the world to us.
I would like to give a special mention to WaterWipes and Asetica Clinic for their generous donations and support of Drogheda Pride.
Thank you to all of the young people and organisations who marched with us, including Boomerang Youth Service and Drogheda Arts Centre Youth, Your energy, enthusiasm and pride were inspiring.
Thank you to Mia Poland from Pride Vibes, and to LMFM, FM104 and Spin 1038 for helping us spread the word and amplify our celebrations.
Finally, thank you to every single person who joined us throughout the weekend. Whether you attended on Friday, Saturday, marched in the parade, volunteered behind the scenes or cheered from the sidelines, you helped make Drogheda Pride a truly special celebration of visibility, inclusion and community.
We are going to take a well-earned rest, but we’ll be back before you know it as we begin planning Drogheda Pride 2027.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Happy Pride, and Slán.
