LADY CAPTAIN MARY’S COFFEE MORNING

Friday 27th February
11 a.m. in the Club House
Everyone is more than welcome to this lovely event. Members and guests.

Lady Captain Mary has chosen Cork Samaritans as her charity for this event.

The Cork branch of Samaritans opened its doors September 1972 and currently has 180 active volunteers of all ages who are there round the clock.

Samaritans is the charity that prevents su***de through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. They are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through their telephone and email services for anyone who is having a difficult time or worried about someone else.

Our Lady’s have always been great supported of this special Coffee Morning and again we would ask our amazing bakers and chef’s to come along with your wonderful creations. We will be very grateful.
Also, any unwanted gifts can be raffled on the day for this very worthy cause, so please feel free to bring them along on the day, or pass them to any committee member.

So, looking forward to seeing you on the 27th.

🟢 Today, December 21st, Samaritans will mark the Winter Solstice with The Longest Night - their annual campaign reminding people that Samaritans are available 24/7 for anyone struggling to cope during long, dark nights, especially over the festive season. 🟢

🟢 Cork County Hall will light up in green this evening in support of this initiative. 🟢

Cork Samaritans were honoured recently with a reception in Cork City Hall, by The Lord Mayor of Cork, Fergal Dennehy, where he presented several of our long serving volunteers with certificates of appreciation. Much thanks to all our volunteers for all that you do💚
