“The Easter Bunny is so clever,” Séamus announced this morning 💛

VERY impressed to discover that the Easter Bunny (2026 version anyway) brings chocolate AND Lego…

Though maybe not that clever, dropping eggs all the way down the stairs for us to pick up 😅

And in the middle of it all…Cathal casually robbing eggs out of Tadhg’s basket when his back was turned…insider trading at its finest 🐣😂

The wonder, the excitement, the pure belief…
these are the moments you wish you could bottle forever 🤍

Core memory unlocked 💙

A little 1-night trip to London with Séamus (and Auntie TeeTee) for an early birthday treat (and a slightly late one for TeeTee too!)… we only told him the day before and I’ve never seen excitement like it 🥹

The airport, the airplane, the train, the hotel, the London Eye, the boat, Big Ben…he loved every second. A proper little tourist with his camera!

He kept saying he wants to live in London… I told him not until he’s 25 😅

It was pure joy the whole way through… though could have done with out lifting the dead weight of a sleeping almost 4-year-old from the plane through the aitport to the car after our delayed flight 🙃

But Séamus meeting Paddington?
That was the moment 🐻❤️
Pure awe 🐾

Seeing it all through his eyes — just magic ✨

This year preparing for Santa on Xmas Eve for was not as advertised on Instagram. But this will happen when you have overtired toddlers and a very bossy 3 year old - whose life mission tonight was to protect Santa’s milk from Tadhg’s “enthusiastic” reach. To be fair it was probably the right move from Séamus. And Cathal just needed Mama. It was the magic of books (so proud!) that eventually got me those elusive magical shots of my three under the tree, a photo I dream and pray for and visualise every year… my three greatest gifts, all three, underneath the tree.

A rare glam moment last night as myself & Thomas trekked off to .charity Gala Ball in to stay up way past my bedtime. Tadhg & Cathal did not get the nod to stay up late 🤣 so no trekking for them!!

Such a wonderful evening for a amazing cause. And of course we had the best company sitting with all of the Nominees for Charity Person of the Year and Healthcare Worker of the Year! Amazing people each and every one. And it turns out that I even won a raffle prize too! Shout out to Kabin Krew who just stole the show!!! Thank you to CUH Charity for having us there & to the wonderful thoughtful people who nominated myself & Tadhg & Cathal (Twins Trek of Thanks was a team affair!). I was so touched to read the nominations themselves - míle Buíochas ó chroí!

Last night as it turns out, also celebrated 40 years of cardiac surgery in CUH, and honoured Mr Tom Aherne retired cardiac surgeon. One of the stats that they mentioned was in the past 40 years - 10,000 or so surgeries have taken place. And one of those in 2001 was my father, Tim Bowe, who had a quintuple heart bypass, and his surgeon was in fact Mr Tom Aherne. Another lovely connection to the celebration last night. Yet another reason why we are always so grateful to CUH and the care they provide.

Back to business as usual and early wake up call this morning… but lovely to have so “glam” photos to mix amongst the usual “leggings & fleece” collection of daily life - even if the attempt to take a family photo ended in the carnage you’d expect of 19month old tins and a 3 & half year old! Swipe all the way that one! ❤️

We must have chosen the wettest 4 days of the summer to visit West Cork but not even torrential rain could waver Séamus’ love for the farm! To be fair that was mainly down to Barbara & Tim at the -where we stayed - so amazing! They were so fantastic with all the boys - we went feeding calves, hens, doggies - and Séamus even received a certificate as we left. You’d know they were only a couple generations off the farm - ‘tis in the blood. Of course the sun started to shine as we packed the car for home this morning & a very sad Séamus said goodbye to Brownie, Goldilocks & Daisy the hens, and to Rusty, Roofie and Milky the doggies… but we will definitely be back. We might bring the Infant of Prague next time… we might actually see a beach then. But that didnt matter to Séamus who had come to “stay on a farm” and stay on the farm we did!!! 💙🩵🩵

Today, in school we were visited by .charity - who came for a cheque presentation after a school fundraiser in memory of a v special pupil of ours who passed away recently 💔. As I chatted to Monika from .charity afterwards, our own fundraising came up and wow, does Twins Trek of Thanks feel like a lifetime ago - not just 11 months or so!!

Someone asked if I still posted regularly, and to anyone who still follows you know the answer to that. Life gets in the way. Storm Séamus, Tornado Tadhg (the nicknames came about mainly because of him! 😂) and Cyclone Cathal keep life very very busy, on top of a busy job. Life is very chaotically ordinary… but I wouldn’t have it any other way. And also, I chose to share less and less of the boys themselves as they grow more into the people they will eventually become, if that even makes sense. But they are as adorable as ever (wild, but adorable!) And more importantly - happy and healthy TG.

So, as I sit here procrastinating the end of year school work that I should be doing, I thought I’d share a rare little photographic update and treat - to all of you followed and supported our Trek … and didn’t unfollow us yet 😂 Our summer may not involve a 253km trek this year - but we’ll keep ye posted, in our own discrete and irregular way, on our little twin & big bro adventures none then less… in case anyone is mildly interested 🤷🏻‍♀️

See… didn’t I tell you, they are just as gorgeous as ever. 💙🩵🩵🩵

I’m a few days late with this post - but it’s been a week! On Thursday, my “OG baba”, our gorgeous, funny, clever Séamus turned 3. His birthday fell towards the end of a week where he could easily have been overshadowed by his two sick brothers (who are much better now TG!) … but amidst the chaos the absolute best of our caring, kind, excitable young man shone through. We often wonder out loud how were we so lucky to be gifted this amazing boy. My personal fav moment of the week was when myself and Séamus snuck away, just us two, a rare event, after school on Thursday for a sneaky Happy Meal in “Old MacDonalds”. We were there for about a half an hour and he must have said “I love you Mama, this is the best day ever” about 20 times. It was adorable and the people there were caught up in his excitement! May life always be as simple, and beautiful and exciting for you, my boy. Hope you had the best party with your cousins today - you certainly ate enough of Mamó Breda’s buns 😂 Breithlá Sona duit, Séamus ###

23rd March 24 V 23rd March 25

Just a touch more chaotic this year - can’t hold them still for a second (even when trying to comfort their tears which was what I was trying to do - and Séamus was trying to help too!!)… but there’s beauty in the chaos too I think! 🩵🩵🩵

To my beautiful twin boys,

Today is your 1st birthday! I cannot believe that we have known each other a whole year already. It’s hard to picture what life was like without you two in it.

Our bumpy journey to each other is well documented. How we prayed for a sibling for Séamus, & to be blessed with two?! But honestly, when I found out we were having twins, I was definitely nervous. But those nerves just vanished when I laid my eyes on you two. My brave warriors, my miracles. & saw you hold hands just moments after being born. When they placed you both on my chest for the first time, this day last year, I knew everything would be okay.

Now I won’t lie & pretend that every moment of the first year with newborn twins was okay. It was not. I have never experienced tiredness like it. But it was worth every sleepless night to watch you both grow & thrive & become the wonderful unique boys that you both are.

Tadhg, my middle child, the most chilled out baba. Life just happens around you & you are so ok with that. You’re fastest crawler ever seen & love pulling & dragging at EVERYTHING! You love books & laughing - always a smile on that gorgeous face. You love throwing your face on to pillows & snuggling into mama. You worship your big bro Séamus and want anything that Cathal has in his hands. A true rogue.

Cathal, my warrior of warriors, my small TTTS baby that fought every step against the odds & exceeded all expectations! You love routine & keep your Mama on the schedule with your reminders. You are a chatterbox & love watching EVERYTHING that’s going on (nosey like mama)! But you watch & then learn - patient, exact & precise. You are the speediest bum shuffler (I totally agree, who needs to crawl anyway) & your smile - so delicious to see it every morning.

I hope you had most wonderful birthday! & it’s not over yet-the cake is ready for chaos with your cousins tomorrow. What funsies!

Memories of the last 12 months are vivid today, & while I’m a little sad to be losing my baby boys, but I am so excited to watch you change & grow in the years ahead. I love you both more than you will ever know.

Breithlá Shona dhaoibh, Tadhg & Cathal

Le grá go deo,
Mama x
