📚 As climate change continues to pose an unprecedented threat, schools become essential hubs for building resilience and taking action. Empowering both educators and students to understand and address environmental issues leaves a profound impact on building a sustainable future. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a core pillar of Quality Education as one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). As an advocate for ESD, the UNESCO Hong Kong Association (UNESCO HKA) has launched a transformative programme to elevate sustainable learning environments among Hong Kong schools.

📚 隨著氣候變化持續帶來前所未有的威脅，學校成為建立韌性和採取行動的重要樞紐。賦予教育工作者和學生理解並應對環境問題的能力，將為建設可持續未來帶來深遠的影響。「可持續發展教育」是聯合國可持續發展目標（UNSDGs）之一—「優質教育」的核心支柱，香港聯合國教科文組織協會因應推出了「碳中和學校計劃」，以優化香港學校的可持續學習環境。

To make UNESCO's global Green School Quality Standard more relevant to the local context, the UNESCO HKA is recognised by the UNESCO to publish the localised version — the Hong Kong Green School Quality Standard. Schools can join the Net Zero School Project to get certified with the Standard.

🌱【 2026-27學年 第十五屆可持續發展教育學程計劃】現正接受全港中小學校報名！

📢 香港教育局2026年4月正式將「可持續發展教育」納入《價值觀教育課程架構》核心重點，由2026/27學年起，全港中小學需將可持續發展融入跨學科教學。
🏅 可持續發展教育學程計劃由香港聯合國教科文組織協會主辦，香港可持續發展教育學院及香港教育大學支持，自2009年推出以來已有超過5500名來自100多間學校的學生參與，聲譽卓著。計劃響應此政策，是支援學校通過全方位學習內容推廣可持續發展教育的理想選擇。

✅ 計劃特色
- 課程符合「全方位學習及姊妹學校津貼 / 多元學習津貼」之申請
- 中學組各主題由相關學界及專業領域的導師作為學程總監
- 學生參與兩次外訪研學後針對所感興趣的學習專題進行校內研習
- 來自大專院校的學長將進行指導和協助小組學習（將安排與學長會面指導）

🎙️⭐️ The 2025-26 UNSDGs Debating Competition, hosted by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association (UHKA) and supported by the English Department of City University of Hong Kong, has successfully concluded its thrilling finals.

🎙️⭐️ 由香港聯合國教科文組織協會主辦、香港城市大學英文系支持的「2025-26學年聯合國可持續發展目標辯論比賽」，已圓滿完成精彩決賽。

This season, the competition reached new heights:
- Primary Division: 673 students from 50 primary schools took part in 143 debates.
- Secondary Division: 1,158 students from 88 schools took part in 385 debates.
- Total: Over 1,830 students from 138 schools engaged in 528 debates—showcasing remarkable research skills, eloquent English public speaking, and exceptional teamwork—all while deepening their understanding and insights on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

本屆賽事規模再創紀錄：
- 小學組：共 673 名學生，來自 50 所小學，進行了 143 場辯論。
- 中學組：共 1,158 名學生，來自 88 所學校，進行了 385 場辯論。
= 總計：超過 1,830 名學生，來自 138 所學校，合共進行 528 場辯論。參賽者不僅展現出色的研究能力、流利的英語演說技巧與卓越團隊合作精神，更深入思考及理解「聯合國可持續發展目標（UNSDGs）」。

The vice president and director of the UNESCO Hong Kong Association, Prof. Enoch YOUNG, BBS, Prof. Yu Hing YING, MH and Dr. CHEUNG WONG Wan Yiu, Angela, MBE, JP presented the prizes at the award ceremony and gave words of encouragement to the students. Prof. Enoch YOUNG also presented the trophy of appreciation to the Associate Head of the Department of English of the City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Klaudia Lee.

香港聯合國教科文組織協會副會長兼總監楊健明教授BBS、英汝興教授MH及張黃韻瑤博士MBE太平紳士於頒獎典禮上頒發獎項，並向同學們致以鼓勵。楊健明教授BBS亦向香港城市大學英文系副系主任李曉恩教授致送感謝獎盃。

👉🏻 為響應「2026 世界環境日」及聯合國教科文組織「綠色教育伙伴計劃」，香港聯合國教科文組織協會（UHKA）與香港可持續發展教育學院（HiESD）今日成功舉辦「2026 世界環境日 香港行動 暨碳中和學校計劃嘉許典禮」。

🎖 活動獲得聯合國環境規劃署（UNEP）認可為「2026 世界環境日 香港行動」，由香港聯合國教科文組織協會會長、香港可持續發展教育學院院長張沁教授隆重宣佈香港聯合國教科文組織協會與香港可持續發展教育學院獲得聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO）認可，成為全球可持續發展教育指導框架「綠色教育夥伴計劃（GEP）」認證機構，並發佈「香港綠色學校質量標準（試行版）」、「碳中和學校香港進展報告」等，滙聚政府、教育界、商界及環保機構代表，共同見證香港在環境教育與碳中和實踐的重要里程碑。

💬 署理環境及生態局局長黃淑嫻致辭時表示，「碳中和學校計劃」提供平台，讓參與學校把減碳知識融入課程，培育學生在校園節能減排，並將低碳生活理念帶回家。它們亦能發揮「碳中和示範校」的作用，引領更多院校加入綠色轉型行列。

🌍 2026中學模擬聯合國教科文組織國際大會（MUNESCO）初選圓滿舉行
2026 Secondary School Model UNESCO International Conference (MUNESCO) Preliminary Round Successfully Concluded
🤝 從粵港澳大灣區到國際大會 攜手「一帶一路」國家青年共議神經科技倫理
From the Greater Bay Area to the International Conference – Youth from Belt and Road Countries Discuss the Ethics of Neurotechnology

👏🏻 2026年5月19日，由中國銀行（香港）冠名贊助、香港聯合國教科文組織協會及香港可持續發展教育學院主辦、聯合國教科文組織協會世界聯合會領銜支持的「2026中學模擬聯合國教科文組織國際大會—神經科技與道德倫理」初選環節已順利完成。來自粵港澳大灣區的56支優秀隊伍成功晉級，將於7月4日舉行的地區大會中就該議題發佈「大灣區神經科技發展與應用的道德倫理—青年展望」。最終獲獎隊伍將於7月25日與18支來自全球各地的中學生代表一同參與國際大會，促進國際青年交流、開拓全球視野，並為青年提供獨特的建言議事平台，共同探討前沿科技帶來的倫理挑戰。

📚 本次大會獲得來自123間學校的積極參與，其中包括孟加拉、貝南、柬埔寨、衣索比亞、迦納、印度、哈薩克斯坦、吉爾吉斯斯坦、尼泊爾、紐西蘭、奈及利亞、菲律賓、波蘭等「一帶一路」國家。大會積極推進跨文化對話與教育合作，深化青年對可持續發展目標的認同與實踐，體現共建「一帶一路」倡議下的人文交流與民心相通。近千名同學提交初選視頻，分享神經科技應用面臨的倫理挑戰具體案例，並通過研究、分析提出解決方案，展現出卓越的國際視野與青年力量。

👏🏻 On May 19, 2026, the preliminary round of the "2026 Secondary School Model UNESCO International Conference – Ethics of Neurotechnology " was successfully completed. The project is title-sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong), organised by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association and the Hong Kong Institute of Education for Sustainable Development, and supported by the World Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO. 56 outstanding teams from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have advanced to the regional conference on July 4, where they will collaborate on presenting the "Youth Perspective on the Ethical Development and Application of Neurotechnology in the Greater Bay Area." The winning teams will then join 18 teams of secondary school student representatives from around the world on July 25 for the international conference, promoting cross-cultural youth exchange, broadening global perspectives, and providing a unique platform for youth to reflect and negotiate on the ethical challenges posed by cutting-edge technologies.

📚 This conference has drawn active participation from 123 schools, including those from Belt and Road countries such as Bangladesh, Benin, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Poland. The conference promoted cross-cultural dialogue and educational cooperation, raising young people's awareness and encouraging actions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project emphasised exchanges and mutual understanding among youth under the Belt and Road Initiative. Nearly 1,000 students submitted preliminary videos, sharing specific cases of ethical challenges in neurotechnology applications and proposing solutions through research and analysis, demonstrating outstanding global vision and the power of youth.
