Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Pobl Hŷn (IDOP) / International Day of Older People (English Below)
Cynhelir Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Pobl Hŷn (IDOP) bob blwyddyn ar 1 Hydref. Wedi’i sefydlu gan y Cenhedloedd Unedig, mae’r diwrnod yn cydnabod cyfleoedd a heriau poblogaethau sy’n heneiddio, tra’n hyrwyddo datblygiad cymdeithas sy’n gweithio i bobl o bob oed.
Yma yn Wrecsam, mae'r ddinas yn bwriadu dod yn ddinas 'gyfeillgar i oedran', yn dilyn cynllun Sefydliad Iechyd y Byd (WHO). Yn AVOW, rydem am godi ymwybyddiaeth o'r ffyrdd y mae'r ddinas hon yn cydweithio tuag at ddod yn ddinas sy'n croesawu pawb, beth bynnag fo'r oes. Gallwch ddod o hyd i ragor o wybodaeth am y cynllun ffynnon sy'n heneiddio ar Wefan Cyngor Wrecsam (https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/service/adult-social-care/ageing-well-wrexham )
Mae AVOW yn gweithio'n agos gyda'n haelodau a'n partneriaid i hyrwyddo a chodi ymwybyddiaeth o heriau heneiddio'n dda. O atal cwympiadau, i fynd i'r afael ag unigrwydd ac unigedd. Trwy ein rhwydweithiau Iechyd a Lles, mae AVOW yn ceisio cysylltu sefydliadau a hyrwyddo gweithio partneriaeth sydd o fudd i bawb, o rannu gwybodaeth am wasanaethau sydd eisoes ar gael, i godi ymwybyddiaeth o wasanaethau fel DEWIS (https://www.dewis.wales/ ) a all helpu pobl i ddod o hyd i wasanaethau cymorth lleol.
Gan weithio gyda phartneriaid yn y sector cyhoeddus, rydym yn trefnu, rhedeg a chefnogi cymorthfeydd iechyd a lles, lle gall pobl ddod draw a chael mynediad at wasanaethau gofal sylfaenol mewn lleoliad cyfleus ar eu cyfer. Y gaeaf hwn, rydym yn gweithio gyda Splash - Canolfan Hamdden Plas Madoc i ddod â llawdriniaeth lles y gaeaf i'r ardal. Digwyddiad galw heibio lle gall pobl sgwrsio â gwasanaethau cymorth a chael mynediad at y cymorth sydd ei angen arnynt (https://avow.org/whats-on/ ).
Gan gefnogi Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Pobl Hŷn, dyna mae AVOW yn ei wneud.

International Day of Older People (IDOP) takes place each year on 1 October. Established by the United Nations, the day recognises both the opportunities and challenges of ageing populations, while promoting the development of a society that works for people of all ages.
Here in Wrexham, the city plans to become an 'age-friendly' city, following a World Health Organisation (WHO) plan. Here at AVOW, we wanted to raise awareness of the ways in which this city is working together towards becoming a city that welcomes everyone, whatever the age. You can find more information on the aging well plan on the Wrexham Council Website (https://www.wrexham.gov.uk/service/adult-social-care/ageing-well-wrexham )
AVOW works closely with our members and partners to promote and raise awareness of challenges to aging well. From fall prevention, to tackling loneliness and isolation. Through our Health and Wellbeing networks, AVOW looks to connect organisations and promote partnership working that benefits everyone, from sharing information about already-available services, to raising awareness of services like DEWIS (https://www.dewis.wales/ ) that can help people find local support services.
Working with public-sector partners, we organise, run and support health and wellbeing surgeries, where people can come along and access primary care services in a convenient location for them. This winter, we are working with Splash - Plas Madoc Leisure Centre to bring a winter wellbeing surgery to the area. A drop-in event where people can chat with support services and access the support they need (https://avow.org/whats-on/ ).
Supporting International Day of Older People, it's what AVOW does.
