Another day of our cadets and volunteers giving up their time to sell poppies in Tesco.
Well done guys, you really are an absolute asset to T.S Fearless ⚓️

Another day and another opportunity for us to show our respects to those fallen in battle.
Thank you to all of the cadets who came this morning to commemorate the Battle of Ghulevelt in Ghulevelt Park.
Thank you giving up your time, you did yourselves (and us) very proud.

Some more photos from today.

Phew what a bus day. Whilst some of us attended the launch of the Poppy Appeal in Worcestershire at the Guildhall, many more took shifts at Tesco in St Peter's to sell Poppies. Back at the unit, the Royal Marines Cadet drill team joined with Gloucester Sea Cadet & Royal Marine Cadet Corps for some practice.

A reminder for all parents, carers and cadets that the unit will be closed tonight to allow the staff to pack up and move us all back to our Midland Road unit for the winter. We will be back open for business as usual (at Midland Road) on Thursday (22nd October). If you have any queries, please email [email protected]

Big adventure begins at sea for LC Marcus and AC Jack as they set off on their offshore voyage aboard TS Royalist!

An amazing opportunity to experience life at sea, develop new skills, make new friends and put seamanship skills to the test!

Wishing everyone on board a fantastic voyage. Enjoy every minute 💙⚓️⛵️

Caught the Commanding Officer, schmoozing with the High Sheriff at this afternoon's shrievalty service. 🤣

The cadets have never been invited before and so in all seriousness it was an honour to attend and we thank the Under Sheriff for including us.

What a busy time! Tomorrow sees some rehearsals for this year's Severn District Trafalgar Day parade and afterwards some of our staff are attending the Shrievalty Service for the High Sheriff of Worcester. Then we have the Trafalgar Day parade itself, the commemoration service for the Battle of Gheluvelt, the launch of the Poppy Appeal by the RBL, various rounds of Poppy Selling, another commemoration for the War Graves at Astwood Cemetery and of course the annual Remembrance Parade in Worcester.

Just because National Cadet Week has come to an end, it doesn't mean the commitment of our staff and young people isn't still at full speed ahead.

Last night saw our Cadet Takeover part 1. Our temporary CO, 1st Lt, UTO and Stores Officer were all hard at work. We also had the cadets teaching classes (that included adults) and everyone seemed to have a good time. This all forms part of National Cadet Week, with more to come tomorrow evening.
