This evening in Cubs, Baloo created a fantastic DIY session. The children used a range of tools and equipment to make faces in wood. The range of tools they were exposed to was amazing and our Cubs were very sensible! They all worked very hard and really thought about where they wanted their screws/nails/washers etc.

Despite the potential dangers of these tools, we had no injuries until Hawthorn attacked a child with a vacuum cleaner and then a table!! 😂🫣

A very well done to all involved.

Beavers Foodbank Visit

Today the Beavers had the absolute pleasure of supporting Worcester Foodbank this evening, the children were so helpful by brining in donations and the staff weighed them up and 12th donated an amazing 35.4kg.

The children were able to learn about the process and who they support, they’ve unpacked trolleys and played a very safe version of Super Market Sweep. (If you know you know) 😄😄

Thank you to the amazing staff at the foodbank for being so welcoming and having us today.

Some of our Squirrels are moving on to Beavers in the spring. That means we have spaces opening in Squirrel Scouts (aged 4-6 years old) in January, after February half term, and after easter next year.

We offer a 4-week trial to see if Squirrels is a good match for your child, and on week 4, we invest them with the Scout Promise and a necker.

If you would like to join, then please do add your child's name to the joining list.

We have 3 squirrels moving on to Beavers in September, which means we have some spaces available for your 4-5-year-old.

Join us for a trial and begin your scouting journey

Our youngest sections have been learning about local heroes, thinking about their own super powers and how to keep healthy

We are loving the warm autumn evenings too.

🍂🍂🍂

We have a brilliant programme planned and some awesome trips, adventures, and camps.

2026/2027 season looks to be the best yet.

Our group lead is a judge for the BBC awards with the ceremony tonight she was asked to be on the radio.

And of course she mentioned scouts and the brilliant volunteers

End of Term.
What a lovely way to end our term with a unite with Beavers and Cubs, the children took on the challenge to build the tallest tower with just spaghetti and marshmallows, ball games and a water relay ended up receiving their badges.

Well done to all the children, they’ve achieved so much. Can’t wait for to see what they get up to over the summer 🙂
