Well that's the end of a hot week, we haven't posted for a while, but we have been busy celebrating birthdays, getting all the summer crops ready and planted out and watching the resident blue tits..the photo was captured by one of you g ladies. We can hear the chicks chirping away inside, they might fledge this weekend

This week the birthday season continues 😊, we have welcomed some more rescue chickens 🐔 and been busy planting for the new season 😁

Well we have finally got the the point of the year where everything starts taking off..Happy Spring Equinox

We kicked off our week by celebrating 2 birthdays that are happening this week, the boys enjoyed their own little birthday cakes and of course 🍕 pizza from our wood fired oven.

The seeds are all coming along nicely and we planted out some broad bean plants this week. We are also going to slightly increase our chicken flock soon and we were lucky to be gifted a lovely chicken house that can be used for quarantine when they arrive. We forgot to take a picture of it though!

Well another birthday this week, so more pizza and 🎂. The birthday boy also enjoyed his favourite job this week moving woodchip. We've also been trying to get everything tidy before the new season really gets into full swing and even the chickens have been helping

It's the start of our season of birthdays, so the pizza oven went on we also have another 4 birthdays to celebrate in march. We are also ramping up for the growing season, and we have been sowing beans and peas and chitting the potatoes

Well we have now got through 2 weeks of post Christmas cold, although this week has been slightly warmer and we've had a birthday so the pizza oven was on which was lovely. Been keeping busy doing lots of maintenancey type things, still a few more weeks until the work with the plants start

What a week, we've had frost followed by t shirt weather and then sideways rain. The last of your birthday pizza season saw us sheltered under the pizza oven roof as the rain hammered down but we think the birthday boy (well almost birthday) enjoyed himself and he got to catch up with old staff. The frost made our Christmas trees look very festive. We have put grown Christmas trees for sale or hire at the moment and absolute bargain for £15 they are all full of character and a big wonky just like us 😂. So here's how it works ...pay £15 and take the tree and it's yours...if you just want to hire it...pay the £15 take it away and when it's returned to us you get half your money back... simples 😊

We managed to get some mowing done before the weather turned this week. A certain someone still thinks it's summer with his shades 😂 and we had a little carrot 🥕 harvest.

Well we finally have some rain at last which is so so good for a plants....and we also have a new 'tracker' on a Monday who is so excited to be with us, one of our other guys has really stepped up and taken him under his wing...

Veg wise we will have a week or 2 more of the tomatoes then hopefully our lovely autumn salad should nearly be ready, there's been lots of planting out going on in the polytunnels !
