We've got BIG news - you can make double the difference during via the Big Give!

From 22nd - 29th June any donation made via our BigGive page will be doubled at no extra cost to you. That means your generosity could go twice as far in supporting children with disabilities and their families, helping us provide vital respite care, activities and support when it matters most.

Fire & LEGO Walk – Postponed

Due to a lower number of sign-ups than we expected, we have made the decision to postpone our upcoming Fire & LEGO Walk. This will ensure we can deliver the best possible experience for everyone taking part.

If you had already signed up, we have contacted you directly with the relevant details.

We are currently working on a new date and will share updates as soon as we can.

This week in Little Stars, we’ve been exploring the role of firefighters 🧑‍🚒🔥

The children have enjoyed a range of hands-on activities that have supported their understanding, language development and sensory exploration, all through playful learning.

Inside, we got creative in the role play area, transforming it into a fire engine and diving into sensory tuff trays with “fire” and “water” materials. We also created fiery artwork on cling film, practising big vertical movements to help build strength and coordination in arms, wrists and hands.

Of course, no firefighter week would be complete without water! The garden became our fire scene as the children used water squirters to put out chalk flames and the adults definitely didn’t escape getting soaked either!

What a fun, slightly damp and imaginative week of learning!

Our team use communication visuals on their lanyards to help children express their needs, make choices and feel understood. These tools are a vital part of ensuring every child's voice is heard, including those who communicate non-verbally.

Often, it's the simplest resources that make the biggest difference, creating meaningful moments of connection. We love seeing children confidently seek out these visuals themselves, helping them communicate what they want, need or would like to do next.
