✨ A Royal Commission… well, almost! 👑

When a talented seamstress customer set out to recreate Prince Albert’s wedding suit, she turned to IDC for the intricate gold embroidery.

Working from her templates, we embroidered directly onto her supplied fabric using a beautiful vintage gold thread.

She then worked her magic to create this stunning finished jacket – and kindly shared the photos with us!

What a fantastic result! We’re delighted to have played a part in bringing this incredible project to life. 👏

From manuscript to masterpiece! 📖

Here’s a lovely example of some of the lesser-known projects we get involved with at The Incredible Design Company!

Our customer, Richard, has spent time putting pen to paper, sharing tales of the various mishaps, scrapes and adventures he’s experienced throughout his life, particularly behind the wheel!

His wife has brought these stories to life with her wonderful hand-painted illustrations, and that’s where our talented team stepped in.

Dan and Rachel have worked together to take Richard’s manuscripts and his wife’s beautiful artwork, carefully weaving them into a wonderfully illustrated book, A Bit of a Dick!

It’s been a real team effort, bringing together storytelling, illustration, design and print to turn a collection of personal memories into something very special.

The finished book will soon be available to buy on Amazon!

We’re incredibly proud of Dan and Rachel’s work on this project. It’s a great reminder that there’s so much more to IDC than the everyday print and design jobs people might associate us with. We love helping turn people’s ideas into reality, and this is a brilliant example of what our team can achieve.

Celebrating 4 years of our wonderful colleague Rachel this week. Always in the right place at the right time, she’s a fantastic support to us all. Never one to be in shot when the camera is out but we managed to catch her earlier this week! Here she is supporting Dex with cutting the DTF for a large print run next week. They both love a bit of Westlife, so seems only right to include at bit on the post.

Matt & Dan do Bond…A wonderful evening last night at Uckfield Business Awards representing The Incredible Design Company as this year’s Charity of the Year. So lovely to catch up with friends from the local business community and witness the deserving winners accept their awards. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners and huge huge thanks to all who contributed to raising £1000 for our cause. Uckfield Chamber of Commerce it was a pleasure to be with you (and thank you for encouraging everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Matt!)

Amongst all the T’s and hoodies this week these cracking pull up banners for The Picture House and Atrium really stood out. Here we’ve reused the old canisters and refreshed the old tired graphics for fresh new designs. Pass the popcorn 🍿.

🪂 Our trustee Sam is taking fundraising to new heights! 🪂

On 1st September (weather permitting), our trustee Sam will be doing a tandem skydive to raise funds for IDC.

It's something Sam has always wanted to do... although the reality of jumping out of a perfectly good plane is now feeling slightly more terrifying than it did when she signed up! 😅

By taking on this challenge, Sam hopes to raise vital funds to support the work of IDC, helping people with disabilities to develop creative skills, build confidence, and create pathways into the workspace and greater independence.

🎉 Happy 50th Birthday, Jo! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating not only Jo’s 50th birthday, but she’s also beginning her 30th year as part of The Incredible Design Company family.

Jo is our longest-serving team member, having joined IDC all those years ago! Her dedication is truly unwavering. If she had her way, she’d be here seven days a week, 52 weeks a year!

Over the past three decades, Jo has seen it all. She’s worked alongside special colleagues and friends who have come and gone, witnessed IDC grow and evolve, embraced new ways of working, and been part of three office moves. Through every change, one thing has remained constant, her commitment to being part of IDC.

Her enthusiasm for her job, seeing her friends, learning new skills and contributing to the team is something we’re incredibly proud of and never take for granted.

Happy 50th Birthday, Jonesy. Thank you for being such an important part of IDC. Here’s to many more happy years together!
